Or how to make a superb film with a budget of £723,000.

Paddy Considine is magnificent. The screenplay, written by him and the director, Shane Meadows, is magnificent.

Many of the actors were non-professional but it doesn't come over as such.

The landscapes remind me of Pendle.

Very surprised Hollywood didn't make its own version (very probably a good thing).

I found it very moving.

Better than sh1te. Not as good as some think. Laboured in parts. Always subjective, this sort of thing.

Cracking film but a poor ending. When the truth is revealed about his brother, that should have been the ending. But, it was too similar to Sixth Sense and would have been right called out for it. So there is the superfluous scene were Paddy Considine gets the guy to stab him in a kind of assisted suicide.

I've always thought it was rather overrated tbh, but "Tyrannosaur" is absolutely fantastic and one of my all time top ten films.
