National League play off semis.
Top win for Solihull Moors, 0-4 at Barnet, yesterday.
Bromley v Altrincham for the other Wembley spot. 4pm on TNT, sky 411.
I’ll be going with this one, a match that matters.

Two ex-Clarets in final with James Clarke & Alex Whitmore at Solihull. Potentially a third with Cricky Conn-Clarke should Alty win their semi.

Andy Woodman is Bromley manager, for anyone interested I recommend listening to his Undr the Cosh episode, a 2 parter, some brilliant stories.
Looking at the play offs, one of Bromley, Solihull or Altrincham will be in League Two next season, good to see a new team coming into the league.

And Scunthorpe lost in their play off game to Boston so face another season in National League North.

3-1 Bromley. 3 goals in 8 mins. Super goal a la Benson.

Alty are always the bridesmaid and never the bride. There can't be another club that has flirted with promotion so much but never been in the Football League

Altrincham were a top non league team in the 80s always fancied to be one of the first teams up when it was possible. It never happened which is a shame .

Re: National League play off semis.
I don't know how they pick the officials for these play-off games.
My friend was AR on the line at Bromley today and he travelled the 336 miles down there yesterday by car because the last train he could have caught back up to the north east today was around 7 o'clock and he needs to be back at work tomorrow,
Not an easy drive back after running the line for 90 minutes, still his expenses should be worth looking at for a 672 mile round trip.

Re: National League play off semis.
We played them in the FA Cup, 83-84ish. They were bad mouthing us pre-game but we sent them home with their tail between their legs, 6-1 I think.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2024 8:15 pmAltrincham were a top non league team in the 80s always fancied to be one of the first teams up when it was possible. 3rd round 1981/82 - Steve Taylor(2), Trevor Steven & Billy Hamilton(3). You are right, they were bad mouthing us. They thought they were going to come here and stuff us but we just simply outplayed them.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2024 11:08 pmWe played them in the FA Cup, 83-84ish. Re: National League play off semis.
Bromley is my local club (would've been Cray Valley Paper Mills FC if they hadn't moved in 1981) and I've had a season ticket at Hayes Lane this season for the first time after being pestered by my son. It's a brilliant set-up there, despite the 4G pitch which I hate. I'll be at Wembley on Sunday with my lad, cheering on the Ravens, probably with a load of other fans who treat Bromley as their second club. But as much as I love it, I don't get the same buzz as when I watch the Clarets.
