Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
He’s just been on with a live interview. Whether he’s trustworthy or not on all aspects, worrying stuff stated. Off the top of my head:
- Kompany wants to go if *any* opportunity at a perceived higher level appears.
- Kompany concerned that another season in The Championship won’t be as easy, will not be good for his profile and will have to make a load of sales.
- Pace incredibly naive in having a relationship more like siblings than operationally superior/subordinate. Had absolutely no expectation of any chance that Kompany could leave.
- Pace apparently claimed to Sacha in their private conversation that the speculation about Robins and so on was to bring an ‘assistant’ in to ‘help’ Kompany. Quite a bizarre assessment.
- Benson will 100% be leaving, as will Zaroury. Expects Al-Dakhil and Tresor to stay.
Lots more stated, but those were the things I remember.

Hasten to add, I got the same feeling at times. Clearly he has some sort of relationship with Kompany’s camp (and he did speak to Alan Pace a couple of days ago, as we know) but he definitely plays to the audience!CoolClaret wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:06 pmSeemed like he was making (most) of it up as he went along in all honesty.

So it sounds like there is an interest in Robins then haha.jedi_master wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:05 pmHe’s just been on with a live interview. Whether he’s trustworthy or not on all aspects, worrying stuff stated. Off the top of my head:

Yes you're right but I think he followed it with thinking he'll stay.jedi_master wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:08 pmI may have misinterpreted - I took it that he said “Yes for sure he’s speaking to his agency” when asked if Zaroury was also leaving.

Bit odd that. If he’s genuinely been told any of that, it’s a bit strange that he’s just given all that away on someone else’s podcast.
He does come across as a bit of a social media wannabe to be honest.

No, he mentioned no names on the interview to be clear (I say Robins purely as that was the guy he originally tweeted about).Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:09 pmSo it sounds like there is an interest in Robins then haha.

Just a very odd thing to suggest that Alan Pace has contacted Mark Robins (or people like him) to ask them to leave their jobs and ‘assist’ Vincent Kompany. Surely absolute and utter ********, yet he claimed that’s what Alan Pace explicitly stated to him a matter of days ago.

Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
So you’ve got two choices. You either believe that Pace a) thinks he can tease a Championship manager out of job to become an assistant at another Championship club AND b) is happy to disclose that in a phone call to a transfer rumour peddler on social media OR you believe the social media personality is full of ****. Up to you.jedi_master wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:10 pmNo, he mentioned no names on the interview to be clear (I say Robins purely as that was the guy he originally tweeted about).

Can’t believe for one second Alan pace would give information to Sacha that we wanted robins as an assistant, if he did and Sacha has let it all out that’s his relationship ruined
Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
Sacha has led all of the attention in the last year get to his head and is a proper Fab Ronano wannabe.

Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
What is weird about this is Sacha only seems to know about the Belgian players. If he was VK’s pet reporter (which I suspected) he would be given titbits about all kinds of players. More likely he is close to a player or agent, and they won’t be fully in the loop. So I’ll take it with a pinch of salt.
Feels certain VK will go however. Feels like he has concluded he cannot do what he wants to do with this calibre of player.

Think it's still pretty feasible he has the inside track on Benson and Zaroury but otherwise aye, fantasist.

I can’t actually believe Sacha actually went on a podcast and spoke the way he did about a club owner and give information not opinions

Considering he’s willingly spilled the contents of a no doubt meant to be private phone conversation between himself and Pace (which he’s probably misinterpreted), I wouldn’t trust the guy as far as I could throw him.

Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
I don’t disagree with the fantasist assessments from daveisaclaret/RVclaret etc - my one concern either way is quite simple:
Why is our owner replying with memes and gifs on social media and then making personal phone calls to relay *information of some sort* to such an individual?

Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
The bit about Robins makes no sense at all.
For a start, there’s no way on earth Pace would trust a journalist he’s already called a liar with such sensitive information and secondly there’s no way at all that Robins would come here to be Kompany’s assistant. Sounds like he’s trying to explain away some crazy stuff he’s made up.
On Benson, this is the same guy who said he was leaving all last transfer window and that didn’t happen either.
Guess we’ll just have to Wait&See

Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
The memes were something of nothing and I highly doubt he was relaying information. What would be the point? More likely Sacha was asking a leading question or brought it up himself. Sounds like a chancer trying to get a following.

Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
He’s had some insight on Benson and Zaroury, that’s about it. Although his story on them chopped and changed a lot in January. Was behind the curve (HLN) on Tresor, Cullen and Foster. He then posts his EXCLUSIVES which seems to get fans on X all excited without realising the story started somewhere else.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:32 pmNot sure what this is saying but hasn’t he been fairly reliable in relation to us?
He seems pretty spot on when it comes to anything Belgium.

Re: Sacha Tovolieri - From the Beehole End
I have read your posts since the club took a downturn following better performances, and suddenly you become more active, most of which being your usual negative approach to the club. Why don’t you keep to a message board you actually support rather then this one where you don’t have a right word for ?Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:32 pmNot sure what this is saying but hasn’t he been fairly reliable in relation to us?

Bob Faesen and David Van den Broeck were the two Belgian journos who seemed to get most of the Burnley-related stories first when we did all of that shopping in Belgium.

Robins was mentioned by Sacha in the original tweet.
Pace has then said they were looking for an assistant to come in to help Kompany but never stated that it was Robins.

The only rational explanation is that he's out of his depth in the world of elite level football and doesn't really know what he's doing.jedi_master wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 8:34 pmI don’t disagree with the fantasist assessments from daveisaclaret/RVclaret etc - my one concern either way is quite simple:

From what i have been told from someone close to the club is that Pace looking to bring in another assistant to help out is true. They also told me that Pace wasn't looking for an older head and experience but another name. The name was Ashley Cole as mentioned in the original tweet.

No surprise their loan deals weren't straight forward, championship clubs just haven't got the money to get deals done quickly.

In fairness, as I said further up - he didn’t explicitly state ‘Robins’ but he was talking about his tweet that prompted Pace to ring him up (which…was about Robins!). He just said it wasn’t about looking at potential VK replacements but to find someone to assist him. It was the oddest section of a very odd interview.
