Scott said in a interview that he has health issues, just hope he can make a full recovery and we see the best of him ..

I don’t think he ever wanted to be here really. I think last summer we ‘courted’ him and his agent early on and he wasn’t interested. After not managing to get a’gig’ he came towards the end of the window and almost reluctantly decided Burnley was his best option. I know he has had injury and health issues and I wish him all the best on that front but I’ve seen little to convince me that he wants to play his heart out to achieve success with the Clarets. He’s no doubt being paid an awful lot of money to display that attitude.

Just grates when I think of the long hard hours many of us will have put in at work to earn a crust.

I tend to agree and suspect you're mostly right. He was persuaded to join us after dithering for ages and I'm guessing almost instantly regretted it for whatever reason. He's then not really committed to the cause and would love a way out. Having said that, I hope his health/injury issues get sorted out sooner rather than later for everyone's sake.

This is the correct and considerate response.

His health problems have been going on for a while. I don't see the point in judging him until he's had a fair crack at the whip.

But for him to get a fair crack of the whip, he has to show that he’s prepared to put in the effort, that’s if he gets selected after recovering from his “issues”. Watching his fleeting moments last season, and his undisguised lack of effort whilst warming up as a substitute, I thought to myself that I’d put more into delivering a rasping fart, than anything I saw from him.

Maybe the health issues are caused by the fact that he just doesn't want to be at Burnley (or even this country)

Of course these personal things should be kept confidential
