Sunderland game - Alcudia

Post by burnmark » Tue Aug 20, 2024 9:52 pm

A massive long shot but I’m currently on holiday in Puerto Pollensa, Majorca. We come regularly and my local haunts won’t have the game on on Saturday as it’s quite a Premier League heavy Saturday.

Does anyone know of anywhere in Alcudia that might have the game on? It is listed as showing on a Portuguese channel I think so even though it’s minimal, I’m not giving up hope of watching it somewhere.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Not been to Alcudia in a long while, but when I was last there a few bars close to each other used to be fairly relaxed about putting the games you wanted on - Goodfellas, Jokers, Nobby's bar and the Prince of Wales.

All within about 100meters of each other.

Find the sports bars listed above on Fac@book and message them asking if they'll show the Burnley game

Cheers. I’ve googled and searched on Facebook for the bars you have named and majority seemed to have closed and/or last updates are from a good few years back. I’ll try other social media sites to see if they are more prominent on there.

Thanks. As above, limited results and those that do are either closed permanently or don’t seem to have updated in years.

I would definitely look in the area mentioned above, there are quite a few bars with multiple screens and they’re still there even if they’ve changed name.

Thanks very much. I’ve contacted ‘Legends’ bar and they will get back to me later in the week. They’ve had a few Sunderland fans in recently watching their games - fingers crossed!

Another option could be to look on a Sunderland forum see if there is anything recommended on there by their fans if nothing else comes up

The key to watching games abroad is getting early and asking before rivals turn up.
They generally prefer people spending money in the bar over a chance another teams supporters will turn up.
