Drawing a line under it

Post by Burnleyareback2 » Fri Aug 30, 2024 9:58 pm

That’s been another “interesting” fortnight as a Burnley fan.

I don’t remember more emotional week on this forum, even considering Coyle leaving for Bolton.

We’ve seen the best and the worst of each other on this week, in most cases the worst.

As timing would have it we go into one hell of a game tomorrow, potentially the best chance that the Venkys have had against us in 5270 days. Tomorrows game will have no bearing at the end of the season, but it’s not a game about points.

Be together tomorrow, let our new team know how important this game is in the warm up, make it clear we are together in every tackle.

And don’t ever, ever forget, we won the league at Ewood

Get into em.

Please, whatever the result make everything about the football and not the lunacy. Be proud to be Burnley or Blackburn supporters and bring a pride of Lancashire to the table.

Behave and don't wreck the town.

Very odd not to be thinking about this game all week. Rovers are delighted with their transfer window, and they've picked a good manager I think in eustace. It won't be easy, but we have the better team. Please let that tell tomorrow.

Unfortunately I'm not there but I'll be tearing my remaining hair out watching at home. I'm absolutely sure everyone will be together and create an awesome atmosphere for the boys.

As for afterwards, you just hope common sense prevails.
