Another of VK's appointments who left the club this summer - he's now joined Roma as Director of Performance.

I've changed the thread title because I've now seen this article.

https://trainingground.guru/articles/ro ... erformance

Rhodes going is not bad news from what I have heard. Interesting that the physio has gone, he only replaced Phil Pomeroy at the end of last season.

Call me an old cynic, CT, but what does a 'Director of Performance' actually do from Monday to Friday?

Probably set KPI's, observe trends, flag up areas where players need to develop / address issues etc

Only an A&E away from being an anagram of MIKE TRESOR. Must mean something.

Much the same as the set piece coach I would imagine.

Think MS was there at Luton and for
Cardiff.

He’s a very well respected coach as well as sports masseuse. Was in the England set up for years.

Why are all these people needed. No wonder the wage bill is high.
I can remember when it was just Harry Potts, Billy Dougall, Ray Bennion and George Bray and the club won the First Division Championship. This lot got the club relegated

Hadn’t realised Youl Mawene was part of the staff now in a medical capacity. That training ground guru site is very good, hadn’t seen it before.

Interesting to see we are still making hires with connections to City, VK etc.

Club are missing a trick by not realising Youtube behind the scenes videos, e.g. “a day in the life of….(insert staff member).” they could get their new worldwide audience to really immerse themselves in the workings of the club without giving any secrets away. That’s part of the hook, young fans would watch it just to see if a player walks past in them.

That would still constitute an anagram, according to one poster! :D

I think hires from City aren't even necessarily linked to VK at this point. Its a while since he left there after all. Its just a local source of quality staff, where we can maybe offer a chance for a more senior role, although this does leave us open to being used as a stepping stone.

My dictionary :
noun: masseuse; plural noun: masseuses
a woman who provides massage professionally.

Is this bloke transgender?
