Trafford - 5
Roberts -4 lucky not to concede a pen and some poor passing.
CJER -7
Esteve -5
Humphries -4 this experiment with him at LB needs to end sooner than later
Cullen - 4
Laurent -5
Brownhill -4 - never ever a Captain
Koleosho -5 -
Antony -3
Houtondji - 4 not even close to ready for this level but you have to factor in the service or lack of it.
Absolutely abject unacceptable performance.

Anthony was bloody awful today. Just a complete nothing of a performance. Even on an off day, you have to put yourself about a bit. I find myself longing for Arfield and Boyd.

Re: Millwall v Burnley - Player Ratings
Trafford- 5. Zero intensity until 96th minute. Flapped at a couple of crosses
Roberts- 6. Tries to get us going but we have nothing going forwards
CJ- 7. Best of a really bad bunch today.
Esteve- 6. Got given the run around a bit today
Humprehys- 4. Not a left back
Brownhill- 3. Gets away with stinker after stinker and looks absolutely knackered.
Cullen- 5. Did his usual ratting but was poor today
Laurent- 5. Probably his poorest game for us so far
Koleosho- 4. Tries to do too much. Some good. Some poor but top and bottom of it is his end product is non existent
Anthony- 3. Don’t get this obsession with wingers turning round and playing backwards alllllllll the time.
Hountondji- 5. Looked lively and made some good runs but just didn’t get supplied
Hannibal- 6. Some nice touches and worked back well to win ball in far corner
Sarmiento -6. Lively but a stupid yellow again
Jay- 4. If we’re bringing him on chasing a game we know it’s game over. Unfortunately needs moving on
Parker- 2. 0 intensity, 0 creativity. We’ll be lucky to finish top 6 if we keep playing this way. He just sets us up to not concede every game, with not much going forwards . Never got a grip of Cooper. Boring

Re: Millwall v Burnley - Player Ratings
4 all round bar CJ who gets a 7 his passing breaks more lines than the others !
Need to go into a 4-2-3-1
Get the full backs pushing on (Sambo give him a go and Pires )
Play a double pivot Cullen and Laurent to sit and stay and take Brownhill out and play Flemmig as a 10 !! Luca on the left please
Table football rubbish only rotation is right back coming infield no combination play and too many behind the ball.

Re: Millwall v Burnley - Player Ratings
Trafford - 5 Can’t kick a ball to save his life
Roberts - 4 half arsed performance
Egan-Riley - 7 Highlight of our season so far
Esteve - 7 We know how good he is
Humphreys - 4 At least he can defend better than Pires but that’s about it
Koleosho - 3 Waste of time
Brownhill - 4 Captain Invisible
Cullen - 4 Vice Captain slow
Laurent - 5 Flattered to deceive since the Sheff Wednesday game
Anthony - 4 Didn’t create anything
Houtondji - 4 Played great for about 8 minutes then wow
Jay Rod - 3 Time to hang up your boots
Hannibal - 5 Looked busy but produced nothing. Walking yellow card
Sarmiento - 4 Not great
If I wasn’t a Burnley fan and they were playing in my front garden I would shut the curtains. There are not enough adjectives to describe the team we are currently under Parker. He’s got to go to save our season.

Trafford 5 decided with 5 mins to go that it may be an idea to distribute the ball quicker.
Roberts 4
EJ 6
Esteve 6 only bit of class in the team
Humphrey 5 not a fullback
Brownhill 3 enough said
Cullen 4 muscled out of it
Laurent 5 started well the faded
Anthony 3 Probably one of the worst wing displays I’ve seen
Koleosho 5 Flatters to deceive
Houtondji 5 same as Laurent
Hannibal 5 At least he showed some fight

Trafford 8
Roberts 4 - slows us down, and why aren’t we using his only weapon in a huge throw in?
Egan Riley 8
Esteve 6
Humphreys 6
Brownhill 3 - not a captain atm, doesn’t contribute at all.
Cullen 5
Laurent 7
Anthony 3 - dimensional but missing two of them.
Koleosho 4 - at least he makes a decision, even if it is the wrong one everytime
Houtondji 6 - shame he was pulled
Subs:
Hannibal 7 - at least he cares
Sarmiento 5 - meh
Rodriguez 5 - better than this version of JRod must be in the academy

Re: Millwall v Burnley - Player Ratings
Trafford 5
Made a big save but his distribution and decision making is not good.
Humphreys 4
Awful passing, slows every attack. He's average Championship player, certainly not worth 10m or whatever we're paying.
Esteve 6
I think he was actually the weaker CB tonight. Their striker caused him problems at times.
Egan-Riley 7 MOTM
The only positive thing in this season.
Roberts 5
Did alright in the first half, but has to take blame for their goal.
Cullen 4
Awful.
Brownhill 4
Non-existent. Captains should be pushing their team, not playing hide and seek.
Laurent 6
Did OK. Not sure why he was subbed off.
Anthony 4
How he wasn't subbed off is beyond me.
Koleosho 4
Adama Traore from Wish. Zero end product.
Hountondji 5
Started well, faded after.
---------------------------------------------------
Sarmiento 6
Lively cameo.
Rodriguez 5
Tried but he's finished.
Hannibal 6
OK.
Parker
Less said, the better.

Re: Millwall v Burnley - Player Ratings
A bright start that faded fast and only picked up again when Sarmiento came on. Then it faded again.
Trafford 6 one decent save, beaten by a perfectly placed header. Slow distribution bar a couple of good early throws but that’s how he’s told to play.
Roberts 4 been good lately but not today
Egan-Riley 7 pick of the defence
Esteve 6 seemed a bit off it
Humphreys 5 we get nowt offensively from him
Cullen 3 easy to forget he was on the pitch. Looked like he had as well.
Brownhill 4 think I can remember one good touch all game from him
Laurent 6 decent first half, put Koleosho in well
Koleosho 3 he’s quick isn’t he.
Anthony 3 just as bad on his side
Hountondji 4 two decent touches early on and then his game was done. Doesn’t look remotely up to this level so far.
Sarmiento 6 actually added some spark, ran with the ball and spread it about quickly
Hannibal 4 another great booking
Rodriguez 4 just a yard off everything
One very much to forget. Been time for a change for a while. Get 2 up top, we’re far too easy to defend against.

Re: Millwall v Burnley - Player Ratings
Trafford 5 - no intensity, distribution woeful today. Decent save in first half tipping over the bar
Roberts 5 - half arsed passing and was a second
or two behind play
Egan-Riley 7 - steady
Estève 6 - people wax lyrical about him, but he’ll have to learn to pass forwards if he wants to progress
Humphreys 6 - Ben Mee at left back
Cullen 4 - not sure what’s going on with him.
Laurent 5 - couple of positive runs into their box first half but pretty ineffective
Koleosho 3 - someone who could cross would have a field day with the amount of ball he gets. I think we would look a totally different team with someone who could cross a ball
Brownhill 3 - nothingness
Anthony 3 - timid
Hountondji 4 - couple of bright moments first half then nothing

Re: Millwall v Burnley - Player Ratings
Trafford 5 - a good save, a flap, the odd panic, a shot that went in but maybe was just about saveable, a mixed bag today
Roberts 5 - tenacious but little quality
Egan Riley 7 - MOM, best of a bad bunch
Esteve 6 - missed a couple of headers at each end
Humphreys 3 - isn't a fullback and unclear why he is being played there (scrap that, it is clear, negative tactics)
Brownhill 5 - at rare times injected some tempo but was largely anonymous
Cullen 5 - too often backwards
Laurent 5 - hardly noticeable today
Anthony 3 - really, really poor and negative performance. Too much turning back, jogging, standing with the ball. No tempo when he is around. A shame because there is a player in there somewhere.
Koleosho 6 - energy and directness, but with little end product. Criminal to waste him on the right.
Houtondji 6 - some really promising bits in his cameo but had little support and Parker should have kept him on with a partner
Subs:
Hannibal 6 - injected some badly needed enthusiasm and tempo
Sarmiento 6 - the only player who looked to have a flick or trick in him
Rodriguez 6 - got more half chances than the rest of the team did, so made us a tiny bit more dangerous
Predictable, I went from 0-0 on the prediction thread, was nearly right. Deeply concerning how little we are creating, how little we appear to want to create, how little we adapt the team or tactics during the game, how little we inject a rapid tempo, how little we get to the byline with wingers or fullbacks (indeed how little out fullbacks overlap).
Quite obviously, this is coaching. He is good at strangling the life out of a game, great if we are ahead, but appears to have little idea how to score. Set pieces are woeful, tactical triangles are few and far between, pressing is less than it was under Kompany or indeed Dyche.
I am now concerned, I wasn't 2 weeks ago. If we all know at 2pm that we will struggle to score, what would we do? We would put players on the pitch to make that more likely. Pires. Andreas AND Jay. Koleosho on the left in his best role. I'd normally say Flemming as a 10 but obviously not an option today. My concern is that Scotty appears to have no desire to do any of those things, logic suggests he will also not have the desire to play certain players from our squad when available who can add more in these ways. Will Tresor play? Ramsay? Redmond? Benson? Hell, why not even stick Egan on for Egan-Riley at 80 for leadership and to grab a set piece header? No Plan B, C or D.
Hate writing that. I'm always a manager loyalist. Still am, just about. But he has to improve, fast. Because this is now a dozen games including Wolves where we have scored, I think, 8 goals, and created even less relative to the rest of the league.

Horrific performance and tactics. We will soon slip down the table with this turgid non threatening football.
Trafford 5
Roberts 5
Egan Riley 6 probably mom
Esteve 6 but slow

Koleosho 3 that wasn’t even flattering to deceive but just poor.

Trafford 5 Doesn’t fill me with confidence on corners or distribution
Roberts 5 very average
Egan Riley 7 MoM Best of a bad bunch
Esteve 6 Average for him. All I remember of him is moving the ball on sideways
Humphreys 5 Not a left back and little forward momentum in his game
Brownhill 3 Think Josh is off in January. Wont be missed on this display
Cullen 5 Didn’t even notice him until he was carrying paper about when the 3 subs came on
Laurent 6 average but pick of the midfield
Anthony 3 Looks like teacher’s pet to me. No determination in his game but keeps getting picked.
Koleosho 4 Forty million my arse.
Houtondji 5 one decent shot all game. Lost Cooper for their goal
Hannibal 7 some energy at least
Sarmiento 7 should be in for Antony from now on.
Rodriguez 6 should have been brought on to partner, not replace Houtondji

Pathetic excuse for football and tactics. Players don’t look arsed, too weak, no creativity, no bravery on the ball. Look like rabbits in the headlights.
We will finish mid table if we carry on.
Pace and his arse lickers need a long hard talk about if this is the way forward to get us promoted. The sooner the better they start asking questions

Decent opening 15 minutes or so.
Then we went on to get progressively worse. And worse .. . .
Finished up with it being as utterly abject showing in just about every way.

Forgettable, at best.
Deepest sympathies for the good following who travelled down there on a Sunday.
Just hope this season doesn't end up becoming an extention of last seasons crap.

Please Scott, play more attacking players from the start. If we'd have at least started with Sarmiento in the 10 and sacrificed a midfielder, we have more of a chance instantly.

Re: Millwall v Burnley - Player Ratings
Difficult not to be critical of that performance
We were poor all over the pitch. The players failed to do even the simple tasks (such as trap a ball and complete simple passes).
I think we have to realise that this team is just simply not as good as previous teams we have had and has serious issues all over the pitch. (I am personally of the opinion that the recruitment team have signed a load of players, which barely any of them actually fit Parker’s style).
Trafford 6 honestly difficult to be too critical. Limited action
Roberts 4 I thought he had an absolute stinker. Poor in defence and just offered nothing going forward.
Egan 6
Eesteve 6
Humphrey’s 3 I thought he was truly abysmal today. Struggling to see what he’s actually good at? Seems to be just ok a lot but not great anything.
Cullen 4 really poor
Brownhill 4 typical Brownhill
Laurent 4 none existent
Koleosho 3 he’s got to be dropped now. Teams have figured him out.
Houtondji 5 difficult to mark him. Showed flashes but again the quality of ball he is getting is honestly shocking.
Anthony 3 did nothing, another player that is just a massive downgrade on past players at this level.
Big game coming up for Parker and I honestly don’t know how he moves forward.
Potentially a change in approach?

Re: Millwall v Burnley - Player Ratings
As others have previously remarked, Parker's "style", if that is the correct descriptor, is all about having better players than the opposition and relying on them to show it a couple of times in an otherwise strangulated game of football.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 6:30 pm

Apart from being too good to play in the league he manages in, I'm not sure there are players out there to fit his "style".

Trafford 6 one good save nothing else to do.
Roberts 3 playing like he doesn’t care constant stupid niggly fouls and continually gave the ball away.
Humphrey’s 4 constant takes us backwards.
Esteve 6
Egan - Reilly 6
Cullen 3 what on earth has happened to him? Dreadful again.
Laurent 4 ineffective
Brownhill 3 another one going through the motions and his passing for worse as the game went on.
Kolesho 3 not a right winger no footballing brain or awareness and no end product. Amazing someone was rumoured to pay 40 million for him.
Hountondji 4 bright first ten mins then faded badly
Anthony 3 first instinct to go backwards not really what you want in a winger
Turgid stuff yet again and second game in a row the opposition keeper hasn’t made a save. To think we’ve gone from the likes of Tella, Benson and Zaroury to Kolesho and Anthony. Going to be a long season watching this.
