Thanks CT as ever- it’s weird at the moment, just feels to me like the life’s has been sucked out of it all …………yes a goal, but guess what, they scored it………who’d have guessed…even if we go up, looking forward to it? Feels like probably not……..

Things quickly change tho. Edward’s sounds like a potential game changer, Shelvey might “make that pass”, PNE away with 5k travelling fans, the end of Feb says good riddance to winter, and Sheffield U tumble.

UTC!

Thanks for report Tony. I generally use your comments as a barometer of how well we have done. I sometimes get carried away with the occasion (especially when it comes to berating the referee) and it's only in the cold light of the following day that I can reflect on proceedings more dispassionately.

Saying that I simply sat in my seat when Burnley scored as others rose to applaud. I was a bit bemused as I couldnt tell who had put the ball in the net until clarified on the replay. I thinking the 'remaining in my seat' scenario is a throwback to our Premier League days when I stopped leaping about wildly when Burnley scored because I always feared a VAR intervention to disallow the strike. I think it was Chris Wood's header from McNeil's perfect cross against West Ham which was disallowed as Wood's nose was offside or something.

Anyway I was happy with 3 points last night and a much improved performance from the lads. We have prospect of more attacking nous in the shape of Shelvey and Edwards. If they start pulling the strings it may well be a connfidence booster to the likes of Foster and Flemming who have had a tough time in recent months. UTC

Good report CT. The good thing about the game was that at least we created those chances and on another day they would have gone in. A wins a win so let’s hope that confidence pushes us on into the next league game. Glad you mentioned the poor tannoy system on the Longside, it was a shame not to hear Billy Hamilton, good to see him though.

Good to read a realistic account whilst elsewhere the same handful try to stink the place out with their mind-numbing entitled negativity.

Decent game...we played a lot of very good stuff.
