Preston reached the final in 1964 when they were beaten by 3-2 West Ham
Howard Kendall became the youngest player to play in an FA Cup Final.

Didn't Jimmy Mac always say that TF was his most difficult opponent?
Sure I read that on here.

Might be wrong, glad to be corrected.

I remember a televised interview with Bill Shankly when he said that Tom Finney was the best footballer he had played with and against, if I recall that correctly. I believe I also read a Shankly autobiography where he said the same.

Shankly said Finney was the greatest player who ever lived

I’ve just read the following on PNE-Online:

“One of the 10 biggest games in my 55 years following Preston”

Has there been a starker realisation of how different our trajectories have been than that!!!
