It makes me laugh how Preston hold the Town End as some sacred place and one of the great ‘ends’ of English football, conveniently forgetting they housed away fans in it for a substantial number of years!

Went to the home tie with my dad, second leg up in Guisborough we had to watch live on Ceefax, it wasn't on anywhwere else

A sign of how football has changed that Ray Deakin drove our bus on a junior school trip and Steve Gardner was my boss in a factory summer job I had. I think Ray may even have still been a Burnley player at the time.

Not much money in fourth division football back then.
