Going in front

Post by clarethead » Wed Mar 05, 2025 7:28 pm

After last night's win, it got me thinking that we have only lost 2pts from a winning position this season, and that was to them down the road.

I know there is still a long way to go, but I can't remember that happening before.

I know there are different ways of looking at it, but invariably, if we get ahead, we stay ahead!

This is meant to be a positive post and not a means for folk to batter SP's tactics.

Rock on, you Clarets!

Good point.

I think we did well at coming from behind early in the season too.

However, worryingly we haven't come from behind since October when we got a draw away at Hull.

Hard to come from behind when we rarely concede.

Maybe to put into perspective, Liverpool appear to have dropped 6pts from winning positions this season, Sheff UTD 6pts and Leeds UTD 10pts.

Talking to a DL fan today and he’s still not confident of promotion.

I work in Leeds, they're worse than us to be honest.

In what respect Doug? Nervous?

I think we are just arriving at the party at the right time. Winning ugly. Not (well very rarely) conceding. Horrible to be either club a head of a team unbeaten in 22 league games. Knowing, and slip up, especially Sheff U and we can exploit it.

For once I'd rather be the chaser than the runner. We can do this. Lets get Luton beat and dig on.
