Excellent report, CT. Was more than a little concerned after last week's debacle at Preston but the response in both games has been as good as I could have expected. Good contributions all over the pitch and saw such a change in Lyle Foster after his goal.

Re: REPORT: Goal hungry Clarets secure another big home win
Two significant moments on Saturday IMHO:
Fosters goal: He needed that goal and seemed to grow in stature once it went in. You could see how the other players celebrated with him how important it was to all of them. Hopefully with his return to match fitness he'll go on and bang in a few more before the season ends.
Barnes coming on and scoring: I thought that Flemming would have come on to replace Foster but it was Barnes and more importantly SP obviously now feels that Ash is match fit and perhaps ahead of Flemming in the striking dept. I can see Ash playing a very important role in our run in.
(I could of course be completely wrong and SP was keeping Flemming fresh for Tuesday's match

Parker explained the Hannibal & Flemming absences as squad rotation. I think both will start tomorrow.CaptJohn wrote: ↑Mon Mar 10, 2025 12:17 pmTwo significant moments on Saturday IMHO:

I’m not sure Barnes would have got the nod over Fleming had it not been for the 300 appearance thing and the fact we were already 3-0 up.CaptJohn wrote: ↑Mon Mar 10, 2025 12:17 pmTwo significant moments on Saturday IMHO:

Barnes showed a strikers instinct to be in the right place at the right time. We have missed much of that this season. Countless crosses and noone on the end of them.

Am I right in thinking Barnes and Flemming now have the same amount of league goals at Turf Moor this season?

Spotted him setting off as soon as Cullen played the ball. He wanted that and gave us something that maybe others wouldn't have been bothered by in the 90th minute when 3 up
