England U21 call up for CJ
What a brilliant and deserved couple of days for him - an England U21 call up for games against France and Portugal.

Brilliant for CJ.
I thought he was too old (and also probably too good) for the under 21s, but this is really well deserved.

Fairly sure he's represented England at every other age level, so will be nice to get the set.
From a selfish point of view, should he leave in the summer, being an England U-21 International will help determine the compensation we'll get.

I hope to see his England first team appearance, as a Burnley player.FeedTheArf wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 12:26 pmFairly sure he's represented England at every other age level, so will be nice to get the set.

I don't think I will be around for his 'walking football' debut.

If he plays he'll have played for England at 6 (SIX) different age levels.

Re: England U21 call up for CJ
The biggest surprise for me is that he still qualifies age wise. The way he plays would suggest hes a lot older-one of the club's success stories this season. Well done Scotty-there were times early on (around the time of the Blackburn home game) when I thought he was not quick enough and that he had a mistake in him. Never thought that anymore after the last 30 or so league games

Re: England U21 call up for CJ
I knew people in the City set up who were pretty surprised he was allowed to move on.
I also know C J's Auntie, but she's biased.

That Blackburn 'cameo' he had was absolutely woeful. I was hoping we never had to see him play for us again after that tbh, he looked miles off the level. The turnaround from that has been unbelievable.warksclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 2:36 pmThe biggest surprise for me is that he still qualifies age wise. I'm still not convinced he's Prem level but I'm sure we will find out at some point.

Brilliant for the lad and the club.
He has grown so much this season, he will be destined for the very top of the game if keeps it up.

He plays like a seasoned 30 year old premier league player. Thats a big of a compliment I can give the young man. Outstanding footballer
