I was wondering if anyone on here might know someone who was involved with the Hyndburn Heritage Museum that used to be in the Arndale Centre in Accrington?
My grandfather donated some items which have sentimental value for the family and I'm trying to track them down.
I've contacted the Head of Museums at the council but it seems the Heritage Museum was just run by a group of volunteers.
Any help much appreciated.

Re: Hyndburn Heritage Museum in Accrington
Hello. A good place to ask might be facebook. Particularly the groups 'ye olde Accrington ' and 'Hyndburn chat'. The former is a photo discussion group frequented by anyone with an interest in the towns past. I'm pretty sure any volunteers at the museum would also be active, or view this group regularly. I certainly remember the museum being discussed and promoted on there. A name that could be helpful is Atarah Hindle. I'm not 100 per cent but I think she had a connection, or at least a keen interest in the museum. She might be able to point you in the right direction. I also remember reading that the curator had died. Again, I'm not 100 percent.CrossEyedChris wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 6:38 pmI was wondering if anyone on here might know someone who was involved with the Hyndburn Heritage Museum that used to be in the Arndale Centre in Accrington?
