Flemming

Post by Conroysleftfoot » Wed Apr 09, 2025 10:32 am

I know that Flemming is on loan from Millwall. In the last game of the season if Millwall had no chance of getting into the play offs and we needed to win to clinch an automatic promotion spot then surely we could get Millwall to agree to let him play against them, or is that breaching some league rule.

I was wondering if we were allowed to pay them to remove the clause. A little 50k sweetner would be tempting for them if they've nothing to play for.

No loan player can play against their parent club in this country. Can't happen even if Millwall would allow it

Thanks, I did wonder if this was the case.

It’s an odd one , because the agreement is that he has to 100% sign for us at the end of the season whatever division we are in , so it’s just a finance technicality. Shame we just didn’t negotiate the same payment structure, but not as loan. Strange if there is no get out clause which Millwall confirmed recently.

I believe that's only a rule in the EPL?

We probably have an agreement in place.

Can’t understand why we didn’t buy him in January. Up or down I want him to stay.

He brilliantly created himself a clear scoring opportunity yesterday then hit it straight at the keeper. 2 more points there and we probably would be promoted prior to the Millwall game !!

Maybe he believes we will be in the PL next season so he will negotiate his permanent deal at PL wage levels.

That would already have been done covering the two eventualities
