Club fonts
Club fonts
I know that ours isn't popular amongst many but Man City's looks like they took Comic Sans and made it worse.
Re: Club fonts
I don’t mind ours but the weird thing is they advertise it as the ‘cup font’ and sell it in the club shop for fans to personalise their shirts with. I don’t think we used it in either of the cups this season and stuck with the standard EFL font on the player’s shirts.

I noticed that too. Ridiculous really. Just give it up if you’re not going to use it.

Re: Club fonts
When it was introduced it was said that it would be used for ALL cup ties. We used them at Spurs in the FA Cup in Jan 2024, and they went on sale in the club shop on the following Monday, I don't think we've used them since.burnmark wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 5:49 pmI don’t mind ours but the weird thing is they advertise it as the ‘cup font’ and sell it in the club shop for fans to personalise their shirts with. Re: Club fonts
Is a PL only permission to use alternate fonts? Do the EFL demand EFL fonts of their clubs for all competitions?

Re: Club fonts
No different to the PL in that they have a font for their own competition.Selby Claret wrote: ↑Mon May 19, 2025 10:05 amIs a PL only permission to use alternate fonts? Do the EFL demand EFL fonts of their clubs for all competitions?

Here's a good video from a couple of years ago from the company, Avery Dennison, on how they came up with the latest Premier League name and numbers design.
A little bit more info from AI,
"Avery Dennison will supply all Premier League names, numbers, and sleeve badges for both on-pitch and retail shirts until the end of the 2029/30 season, as part of a five-year extension to their licensing partnership announced on May 12, 2025. This means their involvement, which began in the 2019/20 season, will continue for a total of 11 seasons, ending in 2030."
