Patrick Bamford
Another ex-claret soon to be on the move. Farke openly said he’s not in their plans this season and he will be moved on. Screams a move to the Wrexham ‘project’.

I expect Wrexham will be aiming higher than Bamford.

Re: Patrick Bamford
Assume he's still under contract at Leeds so potentially available on loan. My money would be on Middlesbrough

I hate to say it but I think even they are too good for himClaretitus wrote: ↑Sat Jul 19, 2025 9:14 pmAnd so they should as should we. He’s crap. The Turdsor Knob End would be perfect fits.

Re: Patrick Bamford
Putting aside his stay with us and playing for DL, he's suffered a lot of injuries in the last few years.
Re: Patrick Bamford
I wonder if tears were shed when he was told the news?

Re: Patrick Bamford
If he did then I could fully understand it. No player likes being told their services are no longer required. As mentioned above he had a lot of injuries last season. If he can keep fit he’ll do a good job for some team. I wish him nothing but good luck, it's a short enough career as it is.

I think you might have missed the point of the crying post beddie, it was referring to his car journeys home from Gawthorpe.beddie wrote: ↑Sun Jul 20, 2025 1:50 pmIf he did then I could fully understand it. Re: Patrick Bamford
Don't really understand the vitriol towards the lad.
He's rumoured to be a bit "emotional", replace emotional with "hot head" which is another form of emotion and you get a cult hero in many cases. Just different ends of a mental health spectrum.
He was average at best for us, but doesn't warrant the vitriol

Re: Patrick Bamford
Well he managed to hit 122 barn doors somehow and has ended up with a just over 1 in 3 scoring rate which is not too shabby.
He got picked for England because he had a couple of cracking consecutive seasons in the championship and then the EPL where he was scoring 1 in 2 and that included 17 in the EPL one season which does not happen much for a striker in a promoted team.
He’s had loads of big injuries but he’s been a key player for Leeds these last few years and ended up having a decent career.
He’s clearly no Joe Jordan or Alan Clarke but Leeds have hardly been the kings of Europe these last 20 years and whether you like him or not Bamford has definitely helped their stuttered revival !!
He’s not what they need now and he will have been a big earner and with that injury record not sure he’d be a great signing for any club as think he could be the type who will struggle even as he drops down the leagues.

Re: Patrick Bamford
MultiMillionaire Daddy JCB owes ovver £500M in Tax - Paid forBoris Johnsons wedding etc etc and gets a pass.
Starmer somehow idnores this also.
Pretty sure Patrick will be fine.
Pity his next club as he'll hardly play.
Some new owner might go for him or maybe off to play Soccer in US.
Maybe Forrest add him for numbers is kis his highest option

Not sure the JCB chap is Patrick Bamford's dad, but don't let that get in the way of things ...HunterST_BFC wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 8:40 amMultiMillionaire Daddy JCB owes ovver £500M in Tax - Paid forBoris Johnsons wedding etc etc and gets a pass.

I saw an interview with him a few weeks ago and he said JCB owners are not related.
Re: Patrick Bamford
His relationship to JCB, is that after all his injuries, he moves like one.

I'd sooner he was leading the line for us in the PL than Foster or Flemming.

Re: Patrick Bamford
Really? Have a look at their respective records.
Admittedly, Flemming is untested at PL level, but there were plenty of games last season where he was anonymous.

Re: Patrick Bamford
Could rock up at Bratfud City and become a folk hero. Won't happen though, he'll probably end up in Saudi or Kuwait crying in the back of a chauffeur driven merc on his way home from training

Re: Patrick Bamford
Bamford's record for Burnley is 0 goals in 6 games.
I'd choose Flemming over him every single time.
