Scott Parker seems really happy with things " nudging away in the right direction".

Happy with how the new players are fitting in.

If he's happy with how things are moving along, it sounds like the new guys are settling in well and might be a clue as to how the transfer window is progressing.

The pure number of players out there in Portugal would give me a panic attack as a manager. One of the 300,000 reasons I'm not coaching at the top level, or at all. He always cuts a relaxed figure, which I'm sure will be massively tested this season, but looks like a happy camp out there.
