Haha, I missed it too. had *o*er. Pretty early but ran out of permutations of consonants like the OP.

Got it in 3. Good old Gorden came to mind, but just looked and it's a different spelling and meaning altogether.

A gofer is what you are in your first weeks/month in the factory. It’s the person who gets sent for the striped paint or left handed screwdriver or long stand.
