More seriously, I wondered if the standing section in Away end and home section of CFS has allowed a technical increase, owing to different space requirements.

Re: Season Tickets
They’re leaving it up to Ticketmaster. That’s the point of outsourcing.
I’ve heard they’ll be using the eeny, meeny, miny, moe algorithm again

Re: Season Tickets
So, we sent it to this address last year, and the punter told us they haven't lived there for ten years.
So we'll send it there again.

Re: Season Tickets
If you have moved and manage to change address in the 3 or 4 different places you need to on the different websites and then ring the club to let them know the new address too…..none of this matters if the third party company sending them out has an out of date file of addresses sent to them by someone at the club.
This time of year is Russian roulette time as to whether your season ticket lands not helped by Royal Mail delivering your post once a ******* month these days !

and also personally in the ticket office.
Intrigued to see what happens

Re: Season Tickets
Going off me moving house 10 years ago and my tickets still being sent to an old address *despite* changing it online more than once, confirming it over the phone more than once and also in person at the ticket office more than once…..I think you’re f****d mate. Get ready to pop round to some old addresses, might bring back some memories I guess.
I suspect the club have duplicate databases all over the place and somewhere, in a deep dark corner of their server, my old address still lurks waiting for the day season tickets are sent out. All fine with away tickets, club shop purchases etc so go figure.

Older generation and younger kids without themJuan Tanamera wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 8:08 pmAre they assuming that every season ticket holder uses a mobile phone?
It's not an issue for me personally, but to assume everyone does is a tad inconsiderate.
My dad has one but I just know that I’m going to have to be the one to set it up and get it ready for him each game - unless we are able to actually add it into the “wallet”

98% of UK adults have a mobile phone according to statisticsJuan Tanamera wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 8:08 pmAre they assuming that every season ticket holder uses a mobile phone?

Re: Season Tickets
I don't know anyone who doesn't have one, but if there is i guess it will be like other digital only venues, you get a paper one from the ticket office.Juan Tanamera wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 8:08 pmAre they assuming that every season ticket holder uses a mobile phone?

Re: Season Tickets
I don't own a mobile phone (long story). Will be annoyed if this forces me to buy one.
Re: Season Tickets
I would guess, if you go with somebody else, your ticket can go on their phoneCardclaret wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 8:19 pmI don't own a mobile phone (long story). Will be annoyed if this forces me to buy one.
Or paper ticket from office

Re: Season Tickets
That’s fine if that’s your preference and as you said 98% of adults have a phone
However a lot of young kids don’t so if a parent goes on with 2 kids, they are going to have to get 3 separate tickets up on their phone to scan them all in whereas the current system they can hand the card/ticket to the child to scan themselves.
It just seems a unnecessary change to an issue that doesn’t exist

Yeah that's what I dowilks_bfc wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 8:41 pmThat’s fine if that’s your preference and as you said 98% of adults have a phone

It saves money on cards, improves security and makes it difficult to pass your tickets on I guess
Re: Season Tickets
I'm taking my 2 this season for the first time, I've moved to the north lower, closer to the cricket field to accommodate and now I'll be right next to the away fans!!wilks_bfc wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 8:41 pmThat’s fine if that’s your preference and as you said 98% of adults have a phone

Re: Season Tickets
Presumably we’ll be able to print the ticket at home, instead of messing about with mobile phones at the turnstiles.

Re: Season Tickets
This stuff drives me mad.
I've bought three season tickets on friends and family. I'm not even convinced I know how to put my own ticket on my phone, never mind get theirs onto their phones. I don't need to be there when they access the ground.

It'll take me a season to explain how to download tickets to my Dad. This is a man who thought the living room door being open between him and the router was blocking the WiFi connection

Bit of a pain for those who take elderly relatives. Can only imagine the fun i'd have had trying to get my Grandad sorted!

You have to put the BFC app on your phone, log in and your tickets are there.dougcollins wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 10:01 pmSo what have I received from BFC so far that allows me to transfer my ST onto my phone?
Either use the app ticket wallet or your phone's.

Re: Season Tickets
If you want to put multiple season tickets on one phone how easy will that be considering each season ticket will be sent to different accounts?
Will you have to log into each separate account on the BFC app before you scan each ticket at the gate?

Re: Season Tickets
With match day internet almost nonexistent I guess you’ll need to have all tickets in a phones wallet before setting off.

Yes that's correct, qr codes are usually released around 10 days before the match.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 10:37 pmAll I've got is "Your QR code will be available soon"

Just a heads up for those who are rooted in the modern world - quite a lot of mobile phones don't get apps. Some people, believe it or not, use a mobile phone for making telephone calls.Juan Tanamera wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 10:26 pmMaths was never my best subject at school but on that basis, is there a chance that 2% of 18k season ticket holders don't have a mobile phone?
18k being the number I've seen on here.
Though in any case, surely the post that started this discussion about being phone-only for 3 games, was a joke?

Is the only way of doing it through the BFC app then? No way of just downloading it straight from the website to your google wallet?gawthorpe_view wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 10:05 pmYou have to put the BFC app on your phone, log in and your tickets are there.
