On Talksport O’Neill said: “I obviously would love Leeds United to stay up for a start because they are a massive football club.

“Whether they have got the infrastructure, whether they’ve got the wherewithal to do that there, I just don’t know.

“Sunderland, of course, you’d want them to stay up, and who cares less about Burnley?”

Will these Leeds signings be enough I wonder

Leeds have gone down the physicality route, them midfield signings are exactly what we are after so credit to there recruitment team.

Speaking to a fan of there’s the other day, there best player from last season will likely not even start now (Tanaka).

I think our best chance of staying up is actually the potential collapse of Brentford and Bournemouth. Rather than over taking leeds

I think our best chance of staying up is being a tight unit, not conceding stupid goals like last time and running through brick walls like we did last season. Not interested in other teams.

Tongue in cheek, or spectacularly unprofessional? I’d imagine it’s a bit of both, coupled with his standard nonsensical gibberish - the same gibberish that has made him irrelevant these days. No fool like an old fool….

If you'd listened to the full interview they clarified that they thought Burnley were possibly the best placed to stay up after what Parker has done by basing the team on defensive resilience

Probably tongue in cheek and he was a very good player and manager in his time, but I’ve always thought he was an obnoxious dwarf.

That won’t change whether he says negative or positive things about us.

Hi misheard the fella and thought he said Birmingham, so laid into them with his Villa background.

Once he clocked on he made it clear Burnley are indeed a club of fine standing. Yes, he should have joined the dots earlier that talking about Brum was irrelevant.

I think that there’s not many more than 80k people wouldn’t agree with him.

Sunderland and Leeds are MASSIVE clubs, and deserve to be in the First Division by default.

He didn't say that about Burnley. He thought they were talking about Birmingham. After Simon Jordan corrected him he was fairly complimentary towards us to be fair.
