Discussion on our players who may or may not move on today...
Just a thought, for those who aren't sticking to the subject on the links only thread.
Would a loan move be the be option for Ramsey?
Who will make way for Luis if he comes from Benfica?
Will Tchouana replace Hannibal?

Loan a good option for Ramsey to get much needed game time, with option to return in January.
New midfielder to replace Ramsey, possibly the previously linked Eriksen?
Although no rush today, as he's a free agent, or Brownhill returns
Could be a lot more movement than we expected today.

We need a creative midfielder, it either has to be Tresor or someone new.

Can't see us wanting to rely on Tresor.
I wonder what the idea behind Benson playing for the U21s was? Was it to prove he can play 90 minutes? If he's fit he could be an asset to most teams in the Championship but would he need to look elsewhere to be guaranteed game time? Wonder if Dundee would be a good fit.

The only creativity about Tresor is his brilliance over avoiding playing. Take a bow Mikey-30 minutes in 16 months is some achievement

I'm a bit surprised if Ramsey is departing given how he's been used in pre-season but if it gets him game time then so be it.
I'd hope we're still looking to bring in someone else who can help us unlock a defence though. Whilst the central midfield certainly feels heavier on industry and defensive diligence that creativity, my main hope remains that we'll bring in a really athletic right winger/wing back type who can help us be a real threat on transition. I know Tchaouna is primarily a right winger but looks like someone most comfortable coming off into those inside right spaces, and Brunn Larsen is an option on either flank and doesn't have the out and out pace you'd ideally want on the right.
I still hope for a centre back as well - I think we're one short in that department, but what we can do in that department may be constrained by whether the limits on how many players we can physically move out in one day.
The squad list suggests that if Ramsey is going, there's space for another incoming, so it would be interesting to see what happens.

I’ve often thought Dundee would be a good loan for him. Good chance for regular gametime and show he’s up to it physically.dibraidio wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 12:33 pmCan't see us wanting to rely on Tresor.

I can envisage Ramsey being another one who doesn’t feature for us and leaves permanently as a “what could have been” signing when his contract runs out

As long as Tresor is in the building, he has to be a part of the match day team. If it's only off the bench until he's got full fitness so be it, but it would be criminal not to start gaining some value for our money.
He has what we need, just doesn't look capable of a full 90 mins.
