Spurs fans don't seem happy at all about it. I read one comment from a fan that he's cemented them as a top 6 club. Aye, ok.

Be interesting to see what happens with them now. They’ve wanted him gone for years.

I just heard one Spurs fan say they were delighted as he was a dictator  Staggering stuff.

I imagine it won't be that straightforward with Levy. He's probably stepping down in the same way as Putin stepped down in Russia a few years ago :D

I think the Spurs fanbase is equally split.
He's done a fantastic job to make them profitable but at the expense of success.

Turned them into a proper club. Their rise during his time is very much like ours but a few levels higher.

I think he’s done marvellously well to last as Chairman for 25 years, and I think his tenure will be looked back on very favourably.

Very much from the old school tough negotiator breed of chairman who put the long term future of the club above everything else. Not many left like that now, if any.

Indifferent he's been about awhile so equally good & bad going off what I've heard & read. Without personally knowing the person it's difficult to extend beyond that but factually he's only a couple of years away from 65 where people think about retirement if not before. It's time to relax & step away from pressure best of luck to the bloke.

If they don’t win something in the next 2 seasons … the fans will just be exactly the same with the new owner

I would never in a million years want to be a chairman

Donald Trump will be claiming he instigated the departure.

Levy has been a commercial success at Spurs but that has often been to the detriment of the football. Their wage bill for players is very compared to other Premier League clubs but he’s definitely helped the shareholders financially and he himself owns 29.88% of that shareholding.

It’s all a bit confusing but suggestions that Josh Levy who is joint chief executive has been part of this move. Yes, son ousting dad.

While there's money in the game, there's only so much. If you want to run a club sustainably, you have to choose where you invest what you have. Levy has built a world class stadium while allocating enough investment to maintain their premier league status, I'd be delighted if we could achieve what Tottenham have in the last 5 years.

I think most clubs our size would be delighted to match their achievements.
