Re: General Info - Manchester City (a)
What would be the best tram stop in the city centre to get to the Etihad before the game? We’ll end up walking back after the game but have always got an uber previously.

The tram goes through Piccadilly station so you have options such as St Peter’s Square or Piccadilly Gardens.
As for walking back, even I managed that after our last afternoon game there.

It was a few years ago now but we were drinking in Moon under water before going City. Our group got split up.
Two of us got a black cab from accross the road for 6 quid. A few got the overcrowded tram from piccadilly gardens and a few jumped on the buses from piccadilly.
I would get a taxi again if two or more of you.

Better to drink in the Northern quarter and get Joe Baxi or walk from there

…it is better to travel hopefully than arrive
Re: General Info - Manchester City (a)
Special buses run back to Piccadilly Gardens after the game.
As you exit the away end turn right at the main road then cross over the road.
You will see the buses lined up further down that road.

I remember talking to a city fan as we trudged back after a usual 5 nil defeat. He insisted the foul on Aaron lennon was something and nothing and that the ball didn't go out of play when it was crossed in for their second goal(it did go out.)Transpennine wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 3:35 pmWe do that every time. We're usually having a pint in the Crown and Kettle before half time....
Im not bothering going this year as I cant be arsed with it
