Vitinho
Started for Brazil last night in their 1-0 loss away to Bolivia. Massive congratulations to the guy but what a fall from grace for the country of Cafu and Dani Alves. Let's have them at the World Cup!

Re: Vitinho
I think looking at their table for qualifying, despite the games they have lost I dont think there's any danger they wont qualify
Re: Vitinho
They have qualified, but only because the WC is increased to 48 teams. In previous qualifications, their finishing position would have dropped them into a playoff.
I'm delighted for Vitinho. Loved him in the Claret and Blue. But if he is anywhere near a start for Brazil, then they've got serious problems.

Re: Vitinho
Already qualified so probably played a few fringe players. Hopefully he makes the world cup squad but don't think there's any chance he'll be playing.

Re: Vitinho
Isn't it Bolivia who have a ridiculously good home record, because they play so far above sea level or something? Might not be a shock result.northernpowerhouse wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 6:27 pmStarted for Brazil last night in their 1-0 loss away to Bolivia. Re: Vitinho
Yeah it is. Their traditional ground in La Paz was already high altitude and they actually moved somewhere even higher to give themselves a bigger advantage. Looks like its paid off for them.NottsClaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 11:17 amIsn't it Bolivia who have a ridiculously good home record, because they play so far above sea level or something? Re: Vitinho
Should our new ground be on top of Pendle Hill then? It’s quite flat along the top, and opposing teams won’t like the walk from the dressing rooms in Barley village (if they can get parked that is) up those random steps at the Big End
