Brizzle match

Post by Commy » Wed Jan 18, 2017 2:15 am

As we are the Premier team, do we get first dibs over Rovers for Sat 3 pm kick off? :)

They might solve the problem by putting them on tv with it being a mighty derby.

Quite sweet Rovers are getting an early taste of their new "main" derby game. Just wait until this is the highlight of their season in League 2 :D :D

Blackburn Rovers ‏@Rovers 11m

Rovers' #EmiratesFACup fourth round tie with Blackpool will take place at Ewood Park on Saturday 28th January, kick-off 3.00pm.

Looks like we will be the game changed if the plod can't cope with both games at once.

If it does get move to the Sunday then the Leicester game will be moved to the Wednesday.

A lot of messing about.

Just checked and Leicester play Derby away in the cup on the Friday night so they will want to keep the Tuesday match against us.

We were both at home at the same time earlier in the season, the fixtures reflected the current status of the two clubs.

Blackburn v Burton
Burnley v Liverpool

The Bristol game will be a very low profile game for the police. They won't be throwing many resources at it at all.

How would the police cope if we played each other in the semis?

Blackburn match is 10 and 5 for a local Derby so might attract a decent crowd, even if both sets of supporters are protesting at being crap.

Can't see there being too big a crowd at the el boycottio derby at ewood

1 set of fans boycotting after relegation and 1 set boycotting over being badly run should see a very small turnout.

They'd be loads of meetings between the fans at the services on the way. Maybe we'd be escorted with a 1am set off time.

You know your boycott/protests are going well when you get excited about drawing the donkey lashers because "we need to get in touch with their fans because those boys know how to protest"

Absolute joke club are ba*tards.

There wouldn't be any trouble at all.

All us Burnley fans would be dignified and above all that if we happened to meet any of them on the way down*

*for about a second, and then my favourite starter for ten would be "You lot must be glad the Venkys are staying, stops you going bust at least"

I thought Bristol fans would have been disappointed with the draw. I always used to think that the best draws were massive clubs away or big Premier League strugglers at home. We're the worst sort of draw, a team with good home form, relatively low crowds and no novelty value as we were in the same league last season. They don't seem that bothered though looking on the OTIB forum, they seem to think they've got what it takes to beat our reserves. Not forgetting that they've lost all of their last 7 league games.

Personally I think it's a great plus that we're getting to use our full squad and that every player who's likely to be called upon over the next month or so has had a few competitive games under his belt. Long may it continue.

I doubt the Met would panic about a Burnley V Blackburn semi final. This is a service that deals with over four thousand public incidents, protests, or demonstrations every year. Just another football game.

Both clubs have mentioned it, with Burnley selling hospitality at £59 for the game kicking off at 3pm

Is it likely to be a tenner (and five for my boy) again?

I hope it's a tenner, Sat 3pm kick off, with that display last night those, who couldn't get down, OR didn't want to, would get a chance for another great piece of entertainment.

Yesterday morning Bristol City reported on their website that they had sold just over 100 tickets for last nights game at Fleetwood.

Cant see them bringing many here!?!

They have only sold 600 tickets for this Saturdays game at Forest.
