I'm reading a book on Elektra Records for who The Doors recorded. Jim Morrison was known to be 'gifted' and attempts were made to cast his member but without result.

There's a photo in the book which shows five successful efforts of which Jimi Hendrix piece is the easy winner!

The thing the three musicians had in common in my first post was that attempts were made but failed. The woman in charge said, perhaps diplomatically, that it was because of the cast failing.
