Our 1st goal.

Post by meadowlark » Sat Feb 04, 2023 4:25 pm

It came from a goal kick.
Why did it not have to come out of the penalty area.

It was on the edge of the box when Zaroury took possession.

Zaroury has to be outside the box when it's kicked, which he is, but can run into the box to intercept once it has been kicked.

Sky sports ****** up big time. Showing replay after ******* replay and missed the goal. Completely took the joy out of it.

Agreed, but you don't expect such a monumental error from the keeper.

I was thrilled as over the years Krul has had some immense games against us.

I think it was Kruls way of apologising for punching Vydras head off the other season

Am I the only one that thinks it was a rolling ball?

I didn't think Sky gave enough credit to Zaroury. It seemed to me he anticipated Krul's pass before the goalkeeper hit it. It was a bad mistake of course.

It was the sort of error that was their downfall under Farke. Whilst it's the modern way of playing if your players aren't good enough to do it it seems stupid to try in the face of consistent failures.

Zaroury finish was good, though. That still need to beat Krul and the man on the line.

When you look at the Prem teams playing at the back, not many are very good at it!
