Don’t know if any one noticed last night that Cullen was winning headers against McBurnie,because every time he went to jump Cork just stepped across him,and stopped him jumping ,he was getting really ****** off just before 1/2 time ( it’s amazing how high Cullen jumps ,a bit like a mini Ronaldo)

Here here. Excellent pro, excellent footballing brain. Knows his limitations and keeps it simple but hell of a fighter too. Really good career and a great example to others of how to get the best out of your body and footballing ability. He's the kind of person we'd miss in the dressing room big time, and the real challenge is getting some new jack corks through the door with a few less miles on the clock.

Of all our senior players, JC is the one I'd most like to see in next season's squad and for exactly that scenario; he (like the others) no longer has the speed/stamina to be an EPL starter, but he is and always has been a player of genuine quality. A lack of outright pace and earlier in his career, size too, are disadvantages which JC has always had to work around; for short periods I believe in still can and hopefully help show the youngsters how to do so too

It’s a shame teams have chosen to sit back so much against us, it’s meant cork has had to be sacrificed to get a move creative player in the team, I still think next season cork will have a massive role to play

The sending off clearly affected how the game went... however, I thought the way that our two centre halves (and Cork) aggressively dealt with their forwards was clear. THB and Beyer haven't really had enough credit for it.

He's not small. He's 6ft - was he much smaller when he was younger?
But I do agree otherwise. He's not a PL starter, but he has something we could benefit from. Nous. Experience. An air of calm. Probably our 4th choice CM behind Cullen, Brownhill and JBG. And with additions likely, maybe even lower, but with 9 subs, I can see him sticking around

Cork did really well whilst on the pitch. He has a very good footballing brain so to speak and has been tremendous for us in the games he’s played this season.

Another reason to think that game at Bramall Lane was the best thing that happened this season, although it didn't feel like it. We made McBurnie look like Haaland that day, whereas I almost forgot he was playing on Monday.

Suggestions of Jack Cork getting another deal but he’s already under contract for next season and the manager has said this week that he’s one of the players he wants here next season.

Re him and McBurnie, they played together at Swansea so he’ll know all about him.

My favourite SD signing out of 4 possibilities that come instantly to mind. I was disappointed when he was subbed at half time on Monday night but I understand the necessity for change and there was no way VK was taking Cullen off.

I recall Cork always looking rather 'lightweight' and being knocked off the ball too easily; not something that happens nowadays
