It’s an awful game. Arsenal scored from a cross but didn’t get the hint and have tried to pass the ball into the net for the rest of the game. Sideways, backwards, rinse, repeat.

Ipswich have hardly had the ball but on the rare occasions they have got forward, they would rather “recycle” back to the half way line than take a chance on getting the ball into the box. They aren’t going to score many this season playing safe with 30% possession.

Tedious stuff.

Oh and as mentioned, the play acting from both teams is embarrassing with Martinelli winning the prize for the loudest audible squeal after being lightly brushed by an Ipswich player.

Infuriating. Several times a player went down holding his face like he'd taken a Tyson hook when he'd been barely touched with a flailing arm (not even in the face sometimes). When the game is stopped for a "head injury" that is fake, there has to be retrospective punishment.

I didn't watch this game but I noticed an 'improvement' in our play acting on Thursday. Roberts, Anthony and Hannibal, all made out they were hurt when there was no or minimal contact although probably fouls, and some other 'fouls' looked dubious. Hence Hamer particularly but O'Hare and Gilchrist too, got a bit wound up.
