Brassic 7

Post by ollieclarets8 » Thu Sep 25, 2025 7:01 pm

The new and unfortunately last series is now showing on Sky.

Absolutely loved this programme. Tommo, Farmer Jim and Davey MacDonagh my 3 fave characters. Dominic West also hilarious.

Farmer Jim's Festival rant 'Tilly and Tarquin, bank of fkn mum and dad' is an absolute classic moment

Sad, sad, sad.
I've enjoyed every series and made all the more enjoyable with quite a chunk of it filmed in my neck of the woods.
Dominic West has one of those naturally funny faces, like Michael Palin in his Monty Python days, that makes you laugh before they even speak

Most of it filmed in Bacup, I think?

Ran its course a couple of series ago imo, absolutely fantastic to start with then they just ran out of ideas i think. Some brilliant characters like Farmer Jim and Tommo as already said Dominic West is **** funny.

Loved it. Utterly Convinced that Joseph Gilgun is no actor… I reckon he’s just being himself. Some great characters, and I hope they go out with a bang.

Superb to an extent in series 1 and 2 but predictable and far fetched later on, but walking into Morrisons in Bacup and seeing some of the cast members was a pleasant surprise in the early days.

If you've seen one episode then you've seen them all!

I've seen/heard interviews from him where he says it's pretty much based on his life when he was younger, so I think you're probably right.

Brassic reminded me a lot of Shameless and I then discovered Danny Brocklehurst who is part of the producers for Brassic, was also involved in the writing for Shameless.

Agree, weakest one yet. Hope it gets better. Looks like they've lost a coule of characters and have replaced them poorly.

Is Michelle Keegan still in it?

Yeah she was in the first episode that I just watched.

I thought the first half of Episode 1 was very funny. Tommo, Vincent and Farmer Jim all on form.

I agree with what TFC said earlier about the new characters - I didn't take to them and I wouldn't have bothered bringing them in, and just gone with what they had.

Lost its way a bit from series 4 onwards.

My favourite episode is still the weed grow one, with our Ronnie in series 1.

Good time to end it, it's sadly had its day and progressively got poorer. Still a classic tho
