The Narsingh rumour seems to be heating up a little bit.
Talksport and an Dutch site reporting our interest (among other premier league clubs)

Let's hope we can get one over on West Brom on this one if the rumour is true.
I would love it if we managed that, the awkward gits.

The timing of some of his finishes in that video were sublime. Incredible finishing, especially from a winger. He's only created one and scored one despite starting all but two games for them this season though and this is whilst they are second in the league.
Still he's probably too good for us but his contract is up in the summer. I imagine he'll be asking for wages of at least 30,000. Pieters who signed for Stoke for 6m was asking for that much and I don't think we're too happy to be paying more than 20k.

Well established fact that we're the lowest payers in the Premier league, behind even some championship clubs, but £20k pw is likely below the mark imho. Likely to be around £30k which should be enough to tempt the player. As ever, depends on who else wants him and how much he wants to play - would be a regular starter for Clarets for sure.

I've actually seen press reports and facts published on the www. over the last 6/12 months that some of our players are on 30k so if that's what narsingh is looking for then it's certainly not out of the question, this one and another quality striker to replace juke now that we've offloaded would guarantee our safety imo. Just not sure we'd get the quality striker for that kind of money. UTC'S

Looks a decent player, having someone who can cut in from the wing and have a shot is something we're lacking!

If we bring Narsingh home then with the age that Robbie Keane is, that would give him a place.

It may also increase our popularity with the Indian population of Burnley since his Dad is Indian. On the other hand it will vastly reduce our Pakistan support...

Purely on the grounds it'll increase our visibility in India and be embarrassing to the Venkys/Blackburn Rovers link (as in the smaller non-Venkys backed club are doing well and not be a complete farce and national joke!) I'm saying let's get this done quickly....

Challenging for trophies and playing in Europe, or a relegation battle playing route 1 football..

We're offering football in one of the best leagues in the world, not sailing into oncoming obliteration on Tuesday nights at Burton. Players like Defour have already come here, you might not like it, but we're currently a better prospect than a few other premier league clubs.
Even being linked with this calibre of player just shows how far our Club has risen and how far yours has managed to implode. Enjoy your transfer window.

Narsingh left Burnley run
PSV striker Luciano Narsingh .. © Rene Bouwman
Luciano Narsingh has in the summer window no final days told a concrete offer from Burnley.
The Premier League club would take over the fast attacker PSV, but he did so late no longer go into the transfer deadline. Commissioned by PSV technical manager Marcel Brands know in a forum evening of the PSV fans evening, the ED reports.
Brands added, that the agent of Narsingh (Mino Raiola, ed.) Concrete interest is known from several clubs.
According to the technical manager Narsingh and Florian Jozefzoon want in the upcoming transfer deadline to make a move. PSV would provide the opportunity to go on the transfer market itself.
Trying to interpret but isnt this saying that we made a bid in summer but it was too late?
Also tells us that there are several clubs after him, nothing we didnt know already I guess with West Brom being linked also

It says that we made a bid in the summer but he said no to the move.
The latter half of the translation relating to the fact that several PL clubs are interested, the fact that a couple of players will be on the move, thus giving PSV a chance to delve into the market is correct.

Which, if true, is basically case closed and we move on to the next target.

So we will have offered 20% of the asking price, spend the next 4 weeks raising in small increments and then be shocked when it falls through.

I know nothing of this guy, but he has 16 caps for Holland, scored against England in a friendly earlier this year and looks absolutely rapid (and thus, has precisely the attribute we need in a new winger).
Good age, decent stats for PSV, would certainly be a coup 'on paper'.

But we did get Defour & Grosicki, only for us to say no to that deal.

Saying no in the summer might not necessarily mean him saying no now....we look like we could be staying up and so could be worth the move.
We have to be realistic; lots of players in the summer will have thought that we were relegation certainties. Based on past history alone.... That might be different now and so of course if we really do still want these players then we should be going back in for them.

One had a debt to dwarf most people's mortgage, the other seems incapable of playing for 90 minutes in a gsme or playing more than one game per week.

So it was a case of us getting them because nobody else wanted to sign them?

To clarify --he did not want the move because Burnley's bid had come too late in the window and this is what Marcel Brands later informed a fans forum.
