Is it classed as a quiet news day when the club makes an announcement that it is going to make an announcement ?

Not sure the £100 increase in all areas is going to go down well.

What happens with the direct debit option for existing season ticket holders, can we just go online and click to purchase again to qualify for the early bird price

That would be a shame. Although not full every week, attendances are much better than our last PL season and would be disappointing to lose a number of current ST holders plus walk ons with the guaranteed rise in match day prices.

You don't need to do anything - it will automatically continue into next season with you getting notification as to any price increase.

Whilst this doesn't have any impact on me whatsoever I would have thought that, if the team stay up, then the Club could freeze the prices for existing ST Holders at least.

After all it has been mentioned on this site before that given the money from Sky we could run with an empty stadium. Something, it was pointed out, that Bob Lord may have approved of.

I like a good whinge so here goes...

It's a disgrace. If the club don't freeze all prices they need hanging.

15000 £150 is a drop in the ocean compared to the sky money aswell as match day revenue what will be lost from fans leaving.

I'm furious £200 is a weeks wage to some people!!

If there is a £100 increase, then the person who decided that should be removed.

I doubt they will increase the early bird tickets, if they do then we know where the fans stand an the club deserves all the sh*t that will follow.

Would be a big surprise if prices were to rise.
If we remain in the PL then there would be no justification for a price rise due to the huge financial benefits of being up there, and if we were to be relegated a price increase would be a v poor business model.

I would hope ST prices will remain frozen again for the 17/18 season. PR and Goodwill come to mind.

In current circumstances I don't think that's relevant.
If they could guarantee PL football next year then perhaps a small rise could be defended, but it would be controversial (IMO) to put the the price up for Championship football. Therefore - as things stand, it should be no change.

Wasn't suggesting anything was relevant - was just asking when they actually did last go up.

Fair enough. I thought there was an inference that a price rise was overdue.

In effect, the price per game went up this season, so I'd like to think that they'd be held for next season. The club can afford to work on the assumption we will stay up for these purposes. There may even be an argument for cutting some ticket prices in some areas.

This thread is Up The Clarets/Clarets Mad in a nutshell.

People complaining about something that has yet to be announced and about which nobody has any facts whatsoever.

I like a good moan, I'm moaning about this thread, but I do tend to wait until there is something to actually moan about!

A £300 rise is just damn right stupid.

That's nearly double for me, I'd be shocked if anyone renewed.

Slightly off topic, I noticed that when our average gate was over 21,000 (2009/10) it was 21,654. This season our average only stands at 21,320 currently.

Obviously we got our ticketing policy wrong two years ago, but why is there a drop of 300 from 09/10?

According to the statement the club issued, yes.

Burnley Football Club would like to update all fans that the consultative Supporters Ticket Forum has been successfully established. Thank you for all those who applied and those selected for their efforts to date. The group was created to gather fan opinion and input into ticket policies specifically looking at; season ticket prices and individual match prices, family tickets and family areas within Turf Moor, bundle tickets, away match priority, as well as general ticketing policy at Burnley Football Club.

The working group are currently looking at best practice from other Premier League and Championship clubs to assist in the reviewing of the ticketing polices here at Burnley Football Club. Positive steps have already been made in relation to the Early Bird season ticket prices as well as operational plans relating to the David Fishwick home section, with an announcement on Early Bird pricing on Friday 13th January.

Chief Executive, David Baldwin, would like to thank all members of the forum for their hard work to date and continuing commitment to this project.

Not as many seats available as there were in 2009/10. A lot of seats were lost for the 2014/15 Premier League season because of the necessary increase to the media area at the back of the Longside Upper, and I'm sure there are other areas where seats were lost for necessary changes for the Premier League.

I thought we'd got some seats back by moving the players tunnel.

In addition, I suspect away followings are overall down on 09/10, when for a lot of clubs we were a complete novelty.

You could say this season, same price but less games puts the price per game up

I was asking a straight question as to whether anyone knows when they actually went up in price - not in terms of price per game which will obviously go up in the Premier League. It wasn't a loaded question, just a straight question because I've no idea.

Surely it depends on who we have played and who yet to play?
Teams like Watford, Palace and Bournemouth don't fill the away section, and we also tend to sell fewer in the home ends.
I think most teams coming to Turf Moor from now on will sell their full allocation.
As has been flagged up, we've already played all the "smaller" teams, and now we will play them away. I would expect virtually all the remaining home games to be approaching a sell-out.

The recent sell out v Man City was bigger than any attendance in 2009/10 wasn't it?

Couple solutions to that
1 - get a better paid job
2 - should have worked harder at school to help achieve 1
3 - go back and do some more studying - should get free on that level of income, should help with 1 at some point in the future
4 - give up the fags
5 - blame everyone else and claim the world owes you a living ;)

Know that as I had a very quiet Mackem sat next to me as he was unable to get a ticket so I bought him one next to us :D

Why should I stop smoking?
I've done it 20 years, n I hate roll ups or flavoured liquid.

I've got 2 kids how can I get a job/further education?

I'd need a job paying me 300 a week after tax to make it worth while working.

With the price of my fags, beer and gram of coke it's costing me £60+ before I've even baught a ticket.

The club are just not making it cost effective for people like me!

I'll go my local working mens club instead I think if it's right it's gone up £350
