Eagles to Rovers?
Free, cheap wages, replacement for Marshall who's been on their left wing when they've pushed him forward.

Where did it all go wrong for Eagles?
A player with his talent and ability should still be playing top quality football at the age of 31.

Not good enough to play in the top flight as we witnessed in 2009/10.

Thanks for that, Tony. I was trying to locate (God knows why) the whereabouts of Eagles last week. Everywhere I looked it said he was still at Stanley but as you've written, his last game for them was in October.

Whilst I thought he received a lot of media hype as a young player even after leaving OT, the fact is he scored a lot of goals in the Championship at Bolton four seasons ago. Something has gone seriously wrong for the bloke to be washed up at 29 (when he was already abject at Blackpool). If he wasn't bothered, why keep on looking for a new club. It certainly isn't for the money (at Stanley).

Not sure on the timings but he and his partner had the tragic event of a stillbirth the other year.

Maybe a reason that appeared not to be bothered

Eagles' Wikipedia page suggests he's on trial at Port Vale
