Another big score tomorrow v Soton.

I think another 4-1 is likely tomorrow, I realise Southampton are a decent side, but Burnley are more than capable of a repeat performance of the sunderland game.
Probably three more for Gray ,and a fourth wind assisted goal by Heaton, which will literally come down the field with snow on it.

I'd take 1 nil ta. I could then clap our team and J-Rod off the pitch happily.

I'd take a draw and think that would be a good result. Southampton are playing well and we'll need to take every goal scoring chance to beat them.

2-2 and a much needed point.
Will be great to see Jay Rod again.

They are 12th in the form table (last 8 games) and have lost their last 3.

A point would be a good result given our injury list.

Would take a point now. Would be a great return on the last 3 home games.
Also taking into account our injuries.

For a start I said playing... as in how they are playing. And, erm.. they beat Liverpool in their last match. You clearly don't watch football, so I'll let you off

When you're a fan of a newly promoted premier league club then cup games become invisible.
The 8/1 available for Burnley to win 1-0 is massive odds and the most likely outcome given to low scoring sides with us having home advantage.

Never heard of Firmino, Sturridge, Lallana, Milner, Lovren or Clyne?

Then I'd definitely place a bet if you disagree with those odds. But I stick by what I said - Southampton are playing well.

Not only am I placing a decent bet on it, I have advised a few betting friends to do likewise. I am very reluctant to offer tips out these days as the stick you get for losers isn't worth the hassle.
But the 8/1 is massive as I don't see that many scores being achievable between the two sides with the 1-0 home win the most likely.

Some people on here getting very carried away with that win over Sunderland win at Christmas. Still have us for relegation if we can't improve our shocking away record.
Point v Southampton would be decent enough.

If you want to be pedantic, then do you really care how they play against us? Or do you care if they (or we) get a result? Because, more accurately, regardless of how they have played, they have been getting poor results.
If you think the cup game is representative then you clearly don't watch football. If you want to bring up cup games, then you could point to the fact that they just drew with a struggling championship team.

I think this game will be close game,
As factualfrank said a point would be good result, saying that our home form says different and I have to go with a 1-0 win Ben Mee header 45 +3 mins

Only Boro and Hull have scored less so something or someone isn't working, either S Long, Jay-Rod, a combination or maybe they are simply struggling for quality up front.

What on Earth are you banging on about? You said they have lost their last 3 - did you heck as like ignore the cup game, you just didn't realise they'd won and now you're trying to come up with excuses. Thankfully, you're now on the ignore list and please... can you add me to yours.

Cup games have little relevance to league games. Hence why I never bet on cup games.
You initially brought up the fact that Southampton are "playing well" in the context of them getting a result. Regardless of how "well" they have been playing, they haven't been getting results. Even if you factor their (irrelevant) cup results, their form is still poor.

I don't understand why some people seem to be taking a win for granted. Even worse an easy win. I would of course be delighted if it was, but come on guys let's not get carried away.
We are doing really well and I think we can stay up this time, but it will go down to the wire.

no one is taking anything for granted, just suggesting we can beat yet another team at the Turf , that's not getting carried away surely?

Don't care if it bounces in off the refs elbow as long as we win.
Another 4-1 ISNT likely tomorrow. The Saints aren't Sunderland.

Saint's been a bit lackluster of late but still enough quality to put us to the sword.
Will have to keep it tight and play smart.

I envisage a very warm welcome home for Jay Rod from his adoring fans who will then cheer his every touch and also every one of his three goals which will help his team to a comfortable 4-1 victory.
