For MACCA (and you others who asked before).

Back in with a regular 442 tomorrow.

Usual suspects at the back

Gray and Barnes battling away up top.

Only possible change awaiting some further fitness tests could be a surprising move on the left flank in midfield.

Otherwise it's business as normal.

Hopefully we can cope with their pace and their lack of Austin should be a massive relief.... They've played some decent football recently and even whilst struggling for goals they've looked dangerous.

Burnley 3-1 I'm going .... With a Gray brace.

Thanks for this. Although reading and replying to some other threads it seems I'm one of the few who's actually been watching Southampton and how well they have been playing football. Nice to see somebody else has spotted that.

Do you know the surprise regarding the left?

I do but cant really say - It's not something you'd really expect though being honest.

Hmm. Would you, as a Burnley fan, say it's good news or something that most fans will be negative about?

It's different - I'm undecided still as to how it'd go but i'm looking forward to seeing if it'll work if needed.

Got to be Tarky out on the left if it's something different.

How come teams are now announced the day before and not a hour or so before kick off?

He's changed it to right flank now. So likely to be Hendrick.

Will Kightly come in on the left? or do we just play Hendrick, Barton, Defour and Marney as a narrow Central midfield?

It's left - just double checked.

Possibly the closest to it but still off on the left wing.

TBH it means nothing the change if Forest Gump comes through his medical.

Any new signing would have to be registered by 12 noon today so that's not an option.

I'd probably guess at Bamford then. It would be a surprise though.

Phil Bird tweeted Dyche has told him Boyd is fine.

If Defour doesn't play Dyche will get the Defour song rammed down his throat again until he enters the pitch.

The question is who plays on the other wing though, if Arfield and Gudmundsson are out which looks likely. I'd guess at Boyd one side Hendrick the other but we'll see. I think bfccrazy is just stirring the pot, guessing.

He has been right in the past so will be given the benefit of the doubt.

It doesn't say much for our dressing room though if it is getting leaked.

How times have changed!!!!

I think ot was Derek on the left.

Darykwa did ok against Sunderland at the stadium of shite, maybe he's got to a point where he's worth a try out on the wing. Stranger things have happened.

Cheers bfccrazy.

Could be useful for first goal scorer/ anytime scorer betters etc. Bookies can get it very wrong on these odds

The line up everyone would of predicted. Has Dyche done it to stick two fingers up to our resident team info supplier?

Pretty sure nobody said Defour would be patrolling down the lett ..... Which is what ended up happening.

And I'm pretty sure the crazy one is right!

I thought Boyd started down the left but could be wrong he certainly seemed to be down there a lot for the first 15 minutes.

It wasn't Dyches finest hour putting Defour on the left but alls well that ends well.

I was interested to see how he was going to cope there and was a little disappointed. Would rather of had Kightly on the right and Boyd on the left if need be.... Or Hendrick on the left and Boyd on the right.

It's going some way when we have Hendrick, Marney, Defour and Barton fighting over the CM spots. Never thought I'd see those sort of line up problems here.
