I don't think he's been their best player has he?

I think he's a bit lightweight for the PL, possibly a luxury player that Boro can't afford to carry right now.

In the last 12 months he has been there best player from what I have seen - with the possible exception of Ben Gibson at the back who is an excellent player and right up there with Keane in terms of future England team / prospect.

In all the recent Boro v Burnley games Ramirez has been very good - he struggled at Southampton after a £16m transfer but lost weight and got a lot fitter at Boro - he is a quality player. Moving to Leicester and Ranieri might be a bit of a risk for him though as he could easily end up the lazy / overweight player he was at Southampton.

Good news for us though if Leicester are after him as it might give us a better chance with Brady. Ramirez will be at least £15m depending on his contract situation

Adam Foreshaw for me, who incidentally, ran the game for Boro on the Turf.

Agreed. We should have signed Forshaw 2 years ago when Boro did.

As for Ramirez, he's been their only creative outlet, so this would be odd. But he is inconsistent.

On the plus side, would presumably end Leicester's interest in Brady.

Really? May have been one of their better players but "ran the show"

Thought boro were a much better organised side when we played them 9 months ago at the Turf.

He was their orchestrator and best player on the day, thats what JDR meant i think. He did take control of the gsme for half an hour in the second half although i see what you are saying.

The only place he 'ran the show' was in his own half where he was very comfortable. A ' water carrier', I believe, is the modern day description.

Ramirez is their Defour. They are struggling for creativity already. Losing him would be a massive blow for them

Who needs creativity we don't.

Forshaw wasn't even a regular in the Boro side, not sure why you rate him so highly. Clayton is far better than Forshaw.
