Atmosphere Today

Going off the Internet (it's a lot, lot better than nothing, believe me) the atmosphere has been good to great all season.

Early in the second-half we needed the fans to really get behind the lads. It's always easier to sing when you're ahead. But we weren't. But the crowd knew the lads were giving their best and there was a sort of sudden increase in volume and it was sustained. And it worked. When Joey scored the place went crazy.

These are great times to be a Claret. SD says there's a "connection" between the fans and the team. He's right (in my humble opinion).

sounded great on tv an as you rightly say was when the lads needed the lift - you could see Dyche at the end acknowledging the effort the crowd made today.

Longside needed a long time to get going.

Apart from the brainstarved, cockless tw4ts who were singing the Jack Walker song again, that really does not do anything for us or the team at all!

Excellent win and great atmosphere yet again......away wins will come quite soon. :D

It certainly ramped up after Bertrands theatrics in front of the jimmy mac stand.

Was loud for the first 20 minutes of the first half and then again in the 2nd.

I always feel we will score when the atmosphere gets cranked up, just wish the rest of the ground would join in before we score.

Atmosphere felt was flat in CFS today the singers who moved from block 23 to 22 nearer away end who are usually in the middle at back had moved Vizeh and his crew and it was harder to get the songs going with them on the fringe

Was flat as a pancake first half and nothing special in the second. It should be rocking week in week out considering the achievements at home.

As I say it came accross loud and clear on the stream. The commentator did say the ground was quiet when Southampton were dominating the latter part of the first half but they are based in the longside that is pretty quiet these days.

Well, I don't know if it was the TV microphones but it sounded pretty good to me. We had to dig in first-half and created very little. It was about ten minutes into the second-half when it picked up. Pawson helped the atmosphere the other week. sometimes it can be the opposition fouling constantly that's the spark but yesterday that wasn't the case.

All fans everywhere deserve credit for trying to create some noise. They are hampered by stupid seated areas which stops larger gatherings of like minded fans . Said it before, but on the terraces when supporters could go anywhere, the songs and chants were louder and lengthier.
Blocks of seats don't lend themselves to atmospheric stadiums.

I have moved my ST to block 22 next to the away fans thinking he atmos would be better.

Wrong! Far too many empty seats, and the atmosphere was a little flat. Heard the lads over the other side tho (block 16) and it's been great there all season so far.

Overall, a little flat for me today.

Said it before and will say it again - the sound you can hear all depends where you are sat/stood.Sometimes the sound in the CFS is so loud it hurts my ears. Mostly the away fans seem quiet as we are in Block 16 CFS and their sound travels out to the pitch and the same for the Longside unless they are celebrating a goal. Sound from Jimmy Mac and Bob Lord stands only really heard ,in our part of CFS , when they get frustrated by a decision . bad tackle or play acting simulation from opposition players + celebration of a Clarets goal.
