Teams you have learned by heart

Probably the only team I have actually learned by heart is:
McDonald
Smith
Winton
Seith
Adamson
Shannon
Newlands
McIlroy
Pointer
Cheesebrough
Pilkington
I am not sure why I memorised this team but I guess it was the team which played on my first visit to Turf Moor in about 1957, some 60 years ago ! Which teams have other fellow Clarets memorised ?

The team that gained the 2nd division championship 1972/73 at Dumpdale.

Stevenson
Ingham
Newton
Waldron
Thomson
Dobson
Nulty
Fletcher
Casper
Collins
James.

There was only one change when we played the semi final v Newcastle. That was Noble for Ingham.

It might of course be argued that I should have included Mr Tracy Snr and Brains, besides the Lady Penelope and Parker.

Yet I've chosen to view these as members of the management/back-up team.

#15 Redbeard, very sorry that you haven't found room in your starting team for TinTin. Although I concede she didn't always feature, I thought she was a valued member of the group!

Sprake, Reaney, Cooper, Charlton, Madeley, Gile, Hunter, Bremner, Gray, Lorimer, Jones, Clarke..............sorry, I'll wash my mouth out!

24..Archie..nobody liked that team did they, but how good were they?

At least five proper dirty players, though they were all capable of doing you in the tackle..

Madeley played in ten positions, and any midfield with Lorimer, Giles and Bremner in it is gonna give you problems..

When they were really cocky they looked like this..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5N0pycFtmU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think Southampton could have tried a bit harder in that clip..

** Leeds had a nice manager as well.

I didn't say there weren't others, Archie. 8-)

Her dad was involved as well, wasn't he? - And of course there was Grandma Tracy too! :D

We were very consistent in terms of team selection throughout most of that glorious 2013-14 season. I have a feeling that someone kept Kightly out at times but having a mental block as to who.

Thanks for the heads up but we would still have won with 10 men. Ray would certainly have given me some deserved stick. Old age is my excuse. We had our tiffs on here but I miss him a lot(sorry for the pun Ray).
Had lots of great times with him in the day. Do I know you ?
