apparently we are chasing Pritchard now.
Probably a cheaper alternative than Brady.

Not sure whether he would improve our starting X1

Isn't he the former Spurs player who joined Norwich?

Hasn't featured much this season has he?

Oh and its rumoured he cost Norwich circa £8 million.

Pritchard is a good player but he has turned us down at least once before, possibly twice as were rumoured to have tried for him in the summer too before he went to Norwich.

However, I am a fan and he can play centrally as well as on both wings. Might be greedy saying this, but any two from Brady, Snodgrass and Pritchard would be unbelievable (if that is the intention).

Media jumping from one to the other it seems now in the hope of maybe getting one right.

Certainly in for Pritchard a year ago and thought we'd got him on loan until West Brom jumped in on the last day.

I still think Brady remains our main target.

Why is Pritchard not in the Norwich team ? Is he injured or not good enough ? In either case why would we be after him ?

It could be any number of things

We are after him
Lazy journalism
Big mate of Andre Gray
Agents trying to get him a move

I haven't seen much of Pritchard but his stock must have fallen given his lack of game time, along with the price tag. If SD thinks he's a good fit great.
I'd really love to see Brady in a Burnley shirt though, he ticks all the boxes. It'd be a real coup and a mark of our progression to get him through the door amongst interest from clubs we couldn't have competed with previously. Exciting times.

Is this the same Pritchard that was on loan at Swindon. Was excellent in league 1.

This is all starting to get a bit messy. When do we submit the Lansbury bid?

A bit much really. Norwich playing two of our players tonight. I don't think I like Alex Neil at all.

That's it. Southampton win. At least they didn't have to play an extra half an hour or so.

17:39. Sky reporting £8m bid from us and they paid the same for him.

Had a glance at the Norwich forum and there were a good few saying they'd hope not to sell Pritchard, that he's got great potential and hasn't been given a fair run by their manager.

I suspect he wouldn't be ready now to improve the first eleven but that's not to say he wouldn't be a useful acquisition. I'd hope a signing like this would be in addition to another who is 'ready to go'.

We're doing same as West Brom and West Ham just bidding for everyone for the Craic.

Pritchard only signed for Norwich last summer in a £8m deal from Tottenham. This would give Norwich no profit at all on the player this looks a little strange to me

If we'd bought him a year ago I would have been delighted. Not so sure now.
On his way back from injury, seemed surplus prior to injury. Their apparent willingness to shot whilst clinging to Brady. Back burner for another window IMO.

I will be rather annoyed if we just end up with Pritchard after the players we have been linked with.

we need someone who can hit the ground running with an immediate impact at this level - i'd go all out for Snodgrass for that reason alone. Out of the 3 linked Pritchard would be my last choice due to his lack of experience

Like i said last night . Maybe hes thinking of getting pritchard in and shipping a few out at end of the season with certain contracts up

It annoys me with all the good publicity that Howe gets, when he has had millions at his disposal at Bournemouth. On the other hand Dyche has got Burnley promoted on a shoe string compared to Howe. Our wage bill must be half of Howes and Dyche gets little recognition from some of the TV pundits.

If Howe can't keep Bournmouth in the premier league with all the money at his disposal he is a bad un.

I would like to see the Bournmouth balance sheet, I bet they are showing massive losses.

I'm beginning to wonder if we could survive without further strengthening.
there's some awfully large sums of money being talked about for players little (if at all) better than we already have.

Not at all, I actually think we have a good squad, we are 10th after all, and no-one we have been linked with yet is playing for a team in a higher position than us.
