Why? We're only tenth out of one season in 3 PL campaigns. Theres' clubs that aren't doing so well but have an established base within this league. Sure, it may sound negative, but it's also realistic. Also, we don't pay wages like all the other clubs, another factor. We'll get who we get.

Jimbob he isn't being negative he's being realistic, there are bigger clubs with bigger wage bills below us and unfortunately players mostly follow the cash.

I've literally not complained about our position or the way we are operating. I'm just stating a fact?? Not sure what to say in response to be fair.

If I was at a club and not playing much and was offered a job with more game time even if it was a wage cut I would take it, surely these lads want to play football, look at Bamford £30,000 a week to do a bit of running 5 days a week and a kick about, surely he got into it because he wanted to play football, even now the lad must be well off with what he is earning.

What I was going to say is we have some Excellent people in charge at the moment and long may it last UTC

I think every Burnley fan in the world is glad we're a PL club. You're completely missing the point made by C&J, he never said we aren't well run, he simply said we are one of the lowest paying teams (wages) in the league and he's right. For a modern day footballer there is more attractive clubs to join below us in the league.

I would say there are 10 Clubs below us paying better wages and are well ****** off because to attract players they are still going to have to offer top dollar for incoming players, players are not going to be going to Spammers or Palace and not expecting at least £40,000+ a week, good on Burnley and the cracking management team who have got this club back to where they belong and may it last.

This isn't negative - it's realism. And worth remembering when the club is trying to make deals in the transfer market.

If we can stay up this year, and its looking good, then we will see just how far we can go!

I am sure there must be a few Non-Mercenary type players out there, Hopefully

We're on an upwards trajectory, everyone can see that, but in terms of our attraction to established PL players and EFL players who can make the step up, we're just a small team who's doing well for just half of one season. Sunderland have been in the PL continuously for what? 13 years? Or more? That's more of a pull than our situation, even though Sunderland do look like relegation candidates.

Same with Swansea, Palace et al. I'm NOT BEING NEGATIVE.

I don't think you are being negative it's sadly true that established players are more than likely looking at bigger clubs than us, I think we do need to be looking at the European market a bit more and see what lads there are in the Championship who may be worth a punt, as long as it's not Lansbury
