Do Norwich need to sell Brady or Pritchard?

Would appear not - on paper

Looking at their last accounts (for Prem League season) figures looked good. Made a profit of £9.4m, showed a debt of just £2.6m to banks and £2m to directors which have all now been paid off

True, they have to run this season on lower income streams but they have said that all players were on reduced contracts when relegated

Would really like to see Brady here but I see something along the lines of the Derby/Hendrick scenario (holding out for big money) to get this over the line, especially if other clubs are sniffing - and Boro are usually looking at all players espec given their result today

Good news would be that if relegation clauses were activated for all players then wages might not be such an issue

Just hope we have other irons in the fire for next week in case this does not happen

By holding out with Derby we got Hendrick a lot cheaper than we would have done.

Norwich need to sell to bring in new players. They've already told Brady he can go if an acceptable offer comes in.

Norwich don't seem to be responding to any of our offers
including the most recent one which, I believe, was 13m.
So are they holding out for 15m or more?

And if so, would we be willing to pay that mount?

Whatever it is I think we have to get this transfer sorted
and if need be pay the extra 2m or whatever it may be.

Brady played again today so it does suggest we're not close.
And if they need to get one or two in then they're getting close
to the end of the transfer window.

Personally I think they don't want to let him go especially
if they feel they're still in with a chance of the play offs.

Time will tell no doubt but would hate for us to be
caught out and be left high and dry.

If you look on the Brady thread, it's there. Norwich are bringing in a left back and once that's done they will sell Brady. The manager has even said it.

He said after the game today that no club has come even close to their valuation, worrying if our £13M bid is true unless he's lying through his teeth.

You'd hope the club has a plan B,C or D ready incase.

Is it just me that thinks in this day and age a players value has little to do with the Manager?

I think Boards are well versed in financial matters and control buying and selling and Managers make noises just to impress the media.

Where has their manager actually been reported as saying this?

He was only playing left back today because Olsson has gone and replacement not yet in - we would, hopefully, not be playing him at left back either

Hope you are right

Outrageous a manager telling porky's bit like Kranky saying Boro, are unable to play long balls :D

A lot of managers are basically puppets and spokesmen for the owners.

What were the final Hendrick figure then?

Ive been told 2 figures, and both were under 8m, of course it could be way off and might have been 10.5m the papers etc reported.

Back in for Stephens with a 2.5 million bid tabled I think its a tactical move to scaremonger Norwich into selling 13 million a lot of money and about right we would be mad to increase on that
