Boro's Ramirez hands in transfer request.
Looks like he wants to join Leicester and is trying to force it through.
Considering they helped him revive his career and he only signed last summer, you'd expect him to show a bit more loyalty, even if it was only till the summer.

No loyalty in football unfortunately, Sid.

Loyality more or less went out of the window years ago. Sad but true.

Great player on his day - A player we could do without Boro having for the run in.
Just hope this move doesnt free up even more funds for them to stop our moves in the market.

Clever player, just what we need, can't imagine he would want to come here, wages would be a problem.

Definitely a good player, but I think filling that wide berth is more important to us.
Boro will miss him, I can only imagine that his request is linked to Karanka. He does seem to have a squad of favourites and another of whipping boys. After all if they've only won one in the last nine it can't be his fault.

Re: Boro's Ramirez hands in transfer request.
The only genuine loyalty left in football is between the fans and the club. Beyond that it's a grey area. I truly believe that players will have a level of loyalty towards their Manager, but this will no doubt change hugely club-by-club / agent-by-agent (it's impossible to under-sell the role they play these days!). I would like to think that we come out favourably though. Sean Dyche has shown great faith in certain players and there's no doubt a togetherness in the club. Hopefully that breeds a level of loyalty between the player and the Manager.
The actions of Gaston are particularly poor though. Makes you wonder about their Manager for sure!

Boro fan here! The rumour is that it's his missus forcing through the move following his antics on instagram...

Ramirez is our best attacking player so this is a bit worrying being the leagues lowest scorers and bearing in mind the club bent over backwards to revive this guys career and get him out of a pre-arranged contract its a bit of a kick in the teeth. I agree with jlup1980, you guys certainly have more of a 'togetherness' about the squad and credit has to go to your manager for that.

Makes a change for a lass to worry about a footballer being married, normally they just hop straight in.

Re: Boro's Ramirez hands in transfer request.
Exactly! She could have even sold the story after the fact but there you go!
Again this might not be the reason for the move but its a strange one coming from a guy who was supposedly desperate to stay here after his loan last season.
I also agree with what Colburn_Claret says about 'favourites and whipping boys' - Karanka's man-management skills appear to be awful but I would have considered Ramirez in the 'favourites' group!
