Why he we or another Premiership club come in for Will Hughes?
Wages?
Fee?
Player refusing to move?
Not good enough?

Was just gonna ask the same question.
Quality.
Hard working.
Never in the papers.
I don't get it.

He's a good championship player but he's light weight and gets shoved off the ball
far too easily. I think we might have been linked with him in the past and he's been
an up and coming, one to watch' for a few seasons now.
But as far as I know nobody's come in for him from the bigger clubs which maybe speaks for itself.

Missing nearly all of last season with an ACL injury probable speaks more and is what halted his rise to the Premier League but if he stays fit he will be playing there soon

Signed a new contract with Derby last week and had this to say today

Seems very injury prone.
Maybe this is why a big club has never signed him.

He's still only 21, yet feels like he's been around for ever.
He's been linked with a lot of clubs like he said, there was even a rumour that Liverpool had first refusal a few years back and back then a fee of £10million plus was being quoted, so if he can carry on improving that fee would probably double or triple.
He was meant to be the next wonderkid but Dele Ali has overtaken him there.
He states he doesn't want to sit on the bench in the PL, but Ali isn't doing that, so he's either very happy at Derby, or maybe doesn't have the belief in himself to go and play for someone else in the PL.

He's one of those players who impress occasionally but there's not much else.
I think his problem is very much like Hendrick's, Russell's and so on at Derby. Not quite players at a not quite club. They need a challenge, Hughes is coasting and needs to step up. It worked for Jeff with us.

167 games already for Derby and he's only 21. Bound to get better and play in the Prem, be it with Derby or someone else

Hughes is ready for the Prem now, no doubt he is of that class.
There will be clubs asking what the asking price is without a shadow, if he's in the Championship in 12 months i will platt fog.

Hughes is the only one I wouldn't mind spending these obscene amounts of money on. He's a cracker and we'd make a bomb on him in a couple of years

He is happy at Derby....so let's just leave it at that eh?

Like Jerek said Will Hughes is a complete over rated light weight, along with his opo Ince.
Having players like them 2 in your side is the reason why Derby never get promoted. Give me the likes of Dean Marney every day of the week

Funny how some posters question if there is loyalty in football but then can't get their head round why a player stays at his club.

Seems odd, if he's that fantastic and only 21, that no one has taken a punt on him.

Probably the best midfielder in the Championship. He's still at Derby because of his ACL injury last season, and he's got his head screwed on and knows he's better playing football every week rather than sitting on a Premier League bench.
