Come on then confess. We all have them.

What do you have to do to provide the Clarets with the optimum chance of securing full points against the opposition ?

I tie the legs of my 'special' sleeping shorts together and draw the elasticated waistband to it's narrowest point with the supplied drawstring. Then, I inflate the shorts like you would do if you were blowing up an airbed on holiday or performing Resuscitation on an elderly victim . I usually have to take my kecks off first.

Then, I try to connect the shorts to the head my pet cat. If the cat pops the shorts then we are likely to draw. If the cat immediately becomes one with the 'balloon' then it is also likely that there will be a comprehensive victory for the Clarets. Although, I have got through a good few cats in recent years as they exploded .

Drinking Ribble Valley Gold cider tends to help before any home fixture in order to achieve the desired result. The Medium Dry in the New Brewm at 7.2 % has remarkable cerebral results and a mistaken interpretation of one's social standing.

It doesn't take a genius to fathom this one out and I would appreciate any free psychological / medical advice because I don't know my arse from my elbow.

UTC.

I don't get much time for the pre match rituals as the game starts at 7:00 am here in California
But I get up 5 mins before kick off put my Burnley away shirt on make a coffee, then text my sister in colne and inform her that I have just taking my seat at what ever stadium we are playing at. The home games it's been working very well

My first season watching burnley was the waddle season and around about Xmas I got a new adidas hoodie and every time I wore it home or away we won. Once I left it in the mini bus and we drew.

So the morning of the Plymouth game everyone on the bus was making sure I was wearing it

Last few games (possibly since WBA) I've put my sweats on with my Burnley shorts and shirt over the top. Seems to be working well. We've played pretty well even despite losing at City, Spurs an Arsenal.

Negative side is I look a bit like Bertie Bee.

My lunch is pie and baked beans. The pie can sometimes be a Cornish pasty and so far I haven't seen any negative effects on results if I do the switch. I did have a Birds Eye chicken pie once which resulted in a loss so that's banned. Beans have to be Heinz and I haven't noted any negative results from using the small microwaveable pots instead of the more traditional small cans. I always have a slice of brown bread with margarine on, never butter and a cup of green tea.

Today though my lunch will be soup and a sandwich because I'm about 3,500' from Turf Moor and as such cannot influence the game

I have an old Burnley shirt from the club shop. Got it years ago for Christmas it's claret and blue and has 82 in large claret numbers on the back. Was never that keen on it. Ended up first wearing it against Reading in the play offs and then at Wembley. Don't know why but I ended up believing it was lucky. Every time I have worn it we have won. (Including against Blackburn - should have worn it sooner, I know!)

Nb. Don't suggest wearing it every week as don't want to push my luck with it. Want to keep some luck in it!

A Mannings spud pie for me before every home game. And a strong brew from one of my Clarets mugs.
