That is a lovely article well written, the driving home to Leeds paragraph was read with tears in my eyes I'm not to proud to admit that.....what a town, what a club.

Great article as always, just a point on being first out in the cup draw,

Pretty sure that happened a few years back, 3rd round at home to Arsenal, 2008 was it?

Brilliant Dave, will never forget 'the bucket' greeting me in 87 before the Wrexham home game (precious point gained that day 0-0). All we wanted then was for the club to survive.....what's happening now is just unbelievable. UTC

Excellent yet again thank you.

"Kindonesque" is a new word in my vocabulary now. I remember once he started a run from inside our half towards the goal at the Bee Hole End raging with determination and power. Accelerating like an out of control steam engine I thought nothing would stop him. The goalie realised and started quivering in anticipation. The shoulder charge which followed knocked the goalie backwards into the net and he was booked. The look of relief on the fans behind the goal was hilarious as they resumed to lean on the wall again. Or is this just a figment of my imagination?

These are the days my friend. UTC.

Enjoyed that read as per usual, however, your reference to the poison dwarf wanting to rebuild Hadrian's Wall is of concern to those of us who live north of this structure.
I have many Scottish friends who do not have the time of day for Jimmy Krankie and her cronies, so the thought of being lumped in with them in her little empire does nothing for me at all.

"The shoulder charge which followed knocked the goalie backwards into the net and he was booked."

A tad harsh on the keeper perhaps?

Lovely article.
I was LOL about the comments from the Lincoln lot about the draw. In fact I'm still grinning

Phenomenal read.

The "30years ago" paragraph brought a lump to my throat.

How lucky are we to have davet writing for and about us?

As has been already said - another well written piece with observation and humour as always - thanks davet. What a time to be a Burnley fan - enjoy these times. It really doesn't seem that long since we were doing the sponsored walk from outside the Bob Lord to Spotland for an away game to help raise funds for the club. How times have changed! UTC
