At £13m, Brady should be straight in the team.

Couldn't change after Tuesdays' immense display. Squad harmony and all that.
0-1, Boyd

Dyche just letting the new boys know that you have to work hard (are you watching Patrick) to get in his team - means that they give more when they get there

Arfield and Boyd starting? Don't be surprised if you don't see a good delivery until the 70 minute.

Can't understand why we pay millions for players, not won away from home all season and yet put the same team out. UTC

Probably because we've been getting better and Dyche is loyal, plus the new lads are still getting used to their new team mates.
Brady will appear in the 2nd half at a guess.

Yes I know what you mean.
Westwood should replace Barton because Barton was a free.

The type of unnecessary comment I despise on here. Think Dyche has made the right call taking everything into account, including the amount of time Brady will have had to train with the squad.

All our previous signings under Dyche have needed at least a month (or a full pre season) to understand how the framework operates - no point risking that in the early stages of a game where we are targeting points - if we are chasing/pushing for a goal late on I expect Brady to join the fray

That's got to one of the strongest benches for a long time.

Hhmm suppose whether or not this is a good decision can only be made at 17:00.
Scoring away is our main problem, and arguably our 2 most creative players are on the bench...
Hope Boyd and Arfield make me look a clueless nob!

Exactly the team I personally thought it would be. Dyche rewards effort, not punishes it. Arfield deserves the start.

Pushing for a late goal and we shove JBG and Brady along with Vokes to give them something to aim at

In the Premier League - especially away it is really important not to concede - the longer the home fans go without a goal (with their current run) the more frustrated they will be - then we can wind up the pressure late on like we do at home and push for the win

£20m + of signings on the bench there and that's with Defour injured too.

The team have earned selection on merit, onus is on the new boys to earn selection too. They will get game time to earn it, that's how Dyche works.

Anyone expecting to Brady to walk straight into the team must be new to supporting Burnley. We played so well last game and our away performances have been improving. New signings don't have a right to start, they have to earn it.

My two bets on us of Brady FGS and 0-1/1-2 aren't looking that great.
Arfield has been brilliant for the last two games but Brady would walk in there for me. The decision to make was between Boyd and Arfield on the right.

I don't think Patrick is watching unless middlesborough paid to get his TV set up.

When Defour is fit who would he replace on that bench. Guess it would have to be Flannagan and use Brady as full back cover if needed.

Arfield knows his position is under threat, he'll be well up for it - don't forget he got our equalizer at Watford a couple of seasons ago

We could sign messi and he'd only start from the bench. Nothing SD has ever done would suggest Brady would start today.

I can see both sides of the argument but Boyd and Arfield are ever dependable and have been in decent form, Boyd in particular has gone under the radar with some important performances but not by Dyche it seems.
To drop them would give the impression that he's managing a bunch of football mercenaries. I'm sure the bench will force SD's hand at some point in the game.
