Ntumba Massanka
Scored a bicycle kick today which some Wrexham fans on Twitter say is Berbatov-esque and one of best goals they've witnessed at the racecourse. Aswell as winning Man Of The Match

Great news. Can he play central midfield?

Really pleased for Ntumba finally getting his first goal at first team level.

Wrexham number 14 didn't look too impressed.

Re: Ntumba Massanka
Great goal, well done Mtumba.
i'm going to mention our "forgotten" loanee now: Hendrie at Kilmarnock, plays every game and never gets a mention on here.

Re: Ntumba Massanka
A difficult skill done well and a great view from behind the goal.
He looks a big unit too. Can you imagine him and Dan Agyei up front together in a year or two?

Is he in the Lion King?

Re: Ntumba Massanka
Nope just hope they are not the burnley forward line next season or the year after as that would mean we have failed massively.
Dan is know where near ready and ntumba has score his first professional goal in the 5th tier.
Not written off, just my opinion.
I've a fealing I may be right though..

A bit of a throwaway statement, why would that be?MACCA wrote:Hopefully not..

If they are our top 2 in the next 2 seasons I would not expect us to be in the premier league, possibly not even in the championship.
Love your optimism though.

fair enough response, Macca,
I do feel, however, that the continuous failure of young players to break through is more a problem of coaching and development than a lack of latent ability.
Given that we have invested heavily in development facilities, I'd like to believe we can start bringing these young players up to scratch.
Re: Ntumba Massanka
I hope soo too. But I'm certainly no "hoping" they are leading our line in the next season or 2.
We are still behind most top 2 tier teams in terms of development.
So those who may get 17/18 year olds in the team are either short squad wise, low on funds or have the best 17/18 year olds ability wise.
Without sounding harsh, we have been getting the left overs and rejects.
When we can cherry pick the young kids and get the best 6-16 year olds that will then lead us hopefully to getting some in and around the team in their late teens.

And please read my post again, I said in a year or two.MACCA wrote:Please read my above post...

Perhaps you took that literally.
I dont presume to have seen either lad in the flesh but i assume you must have done to think wed be in the championship or even league 1 with those 2 up front.
Hate your pessimism though.
Re: Ntumba Massanka
Yes in a year or 2 from now, means we will be 1 or 2 seasons from now...
I have seen both of then in the flesh.
Dan looked good for his age, but I wouldn't have thought he would be a premier league starter for a while.
Me pessimistic? I'm hoping we are too good to have them up top in a couple of seasons..
I'd say that's more positive than negative.
Like i said, the chances of them leading the line in a couple of seasons for Burnley are very slim, unless we failed massively.

Re: Ntumba Massanka
So you have no confidence in them progressing massively within the next year or two?
Ah well!
Ah well!
Re: Ntumba Massanka
Improving yes, hopefully lots.
Enough to be a starting partnership in the premier league for us? Absolutely not.
I can't see where the next regular starter will come from in the development/youth teams, so in my opinion it could be at least 3/4 seasons away, but if we are in the top flight still, even longer than that.
These next batch of kids would be lucky to become championship regulars in my opinion.
It's sounds harsh but that's what I beleive and how far I think we are off.
I do hope I'm proved very wrong though.
