Embarrassing Burnley "Fans."

To the dozen Burnley fans at Watford Junction Station your behaviour was absolutely embarrassing. In future I'd refrain from drinking cheap cider as it makes you so loud and obnoxious that you verbally abuse passengers and London Midland rail staff, who were incredibly patient with you.
Go to the Golden Mile next time you fancy a day out !

Just out of interest, what's wrong with shouting "your support is f****** s***" ?

I'm sorry but "It's not banter either". Nah that's exactly what it is. Whinging at our own fans for a chant directed at the opposition. Rather us all just sit down with our flasks and tartan blankets and say nothing??

Just let people enjoy themselves, rather our fans get wasted and enjoy their day than some of the fans shaking in anger and screaming at the stewards because we were standing, some people need to get a grip

Is this thread about people drinking cheap cider?
If it is then I'm all for banning the stuff.

Abusing the opposition fans is all banter.
Abusing the public and staff in a Railway station is an embarrassment. You have to hope they grow out of it.
We've all done stupid things when we were younger, but surely it would help if some sober Burnley fans told them what they looked like. At the very least it would show the general public that not all Burnley fans are arseholes.

Hip flasks are definitely the cause of most away day problems

They are usually used by people who want to conceal Tennent's Super and machetes.

What was embarrassing from Burnley fans were the ones that were trying to fight each other in the concourse before the game.

A few Drunken lads shouting and behaving badly at football....whatever next ? Should this thread not be merged into the one about us having nothing to moan about at the moment ?

All of us who were there yesterday travelled as ambassadors of the town and club. It was absolutely embarrassing to witness Burnley supporters chanting at rail staff that they were "Fuckin ****." The majority of rail staff were also female.
Call me old fashioned but that's completely out of order.

I do wonder what folk who start these types of thread are actually after.
Is it this they're after........... Oh my god I can't believe we have stupid idiots following us. Let's find the culprits and hang them.
A dozen (not two thousand) Burnley fans being knobheads at a train station, hold the front page of the Watford Observer.

Hi Bin ont Turf,
It was an observation due to myself and family feeling very embarrassed. Many other passengers clearly felt the same.
I do make a variety of remarks and comments, please refer to my History.
You are correct that boorish behaviour no longer is news, which is actually very sad.
John.

Did you note down what time the incident was?
It would be great information to pass onto the club and we could have a minutes applause during the Chelsea game for all those affected.

I think they expect the Mods to find them and punish them.
If people are misbehaving near you sort it out there and then. If you can't, tell a steward or policemen.

Having a shout and misbehaving AT the football is one thing (depending on what is considered misbehaving) those at the football would expect some of that kind of behaviour
Having a shout in public and at staff at the station is completely different and out of order.
Whether it's 10, 100 or 1000 it shouldn't be tolerated. As my old form tutor use to say "don't let the minority spoil it for the majority"

You shouldn't be embarrassed, you weren't with them.
We are taught not to tar everyone with the same brush. Although on this message board it is alright to tar all the leave the EU voters with the same brush.

" Ambassadors"...I've heard everything now. The gentrification of football is now complete. If swearing and shouting offend you to such a degree I would suggest football, and in particular attending away matches, perhaps isn't for you. And before the faux outrage gang jump in, no I don't think the behaviour described is right , but nor do I think it requires a thread on here condemning our own fans.

I witnessed them close hand and thoroughly agree with OP.
I'm all for having a few beers and enjoying yourself but for those that didn't see these guys or the way they were behaving believe me they were well over the line.
Entering Watford Junction station I had to walk past them....when you realise the state of them I tried not to catch their eye - they were so bad....they hurled abuse at me shouting that I was a PE teacher and a paedophile...bit random? I decided to just move on. At least they had reason to be happy as on the platform they thought we'd won 2-1. But if they are still all in one piece today they've been lucky.

A decent fans makes a fair point on BURNLEYS MESSAGEBOARD ABOUT BURNLEY FANS.....and you don't get it !
He's highlighting crass and disgusting behaviour by ****, if you see nothing wrong in what he describes, then you need to look at your lack of standards.

If you're wearing the same scarves and shirts then you will get tarred with the same brush.
Just because we are a small club and get hard done by sometimes, there's no necessity to behave like dickheads.
That is how those that were verbally abused will remember Burnley. Unfortunately.

What about the fans who were bitching and whingeing to stewards about fans standing? some people may also feel these fans are ridiculous sticks in the mud who get irrate at anything other than gentle gardening and an episode of Countdown. Nothing wrong with guys boozed up on a match but I do agree that abusing train staff etc (especially if they were mainly birds) is out of order and not part of a day out at all.

Well I didn't call them innocent upstanding citizens of Burnley, I called them 'knobheads', which may be a clue as to what I think of them and the way they've acted.
I still don't understand what the OP is after here. Did he need comforting after this very embarrassing episode? Do the dozen Burnley fans in question post on here?
Isn't this what twitter was invented for, starting a message and ranting about folk you don't know?
It's not about whether I think it's perfectly decent behaviour, because anyone who thinks abusing people at work who are helping you get to where you're going, is acceptable, then they are as bad as they are. It should go without saying.
If the OP wants a point to this thread, he could give me the details and I shall pen a letter to the staff there at Watford, apologising on behalf of all us Burnley fans and distancing the rest of us from this by telling them that we aren't all like that. Yes, I'm being serious.

I take it the transport police soon arrived and either had a word or arrested the culprits, I mean if you were so offended the people on the receiving end of the abuse must have felt 10 times worse and surely they reported it. During your time being offended did you not ask the ones being abusive to calm it down a bit or just watch it take place ?

I honestly don't understand these type of threads, why come on here to whinge about a fellow Burnley fan's behaviour.
You were disgusted and embarrassed to the point you posted on here, so why did you not tell them?
So you don't step in and tell them but bitch about them online when they're gone, I don't see the point, have you developed a vagina? I bet you were nodding away, laughing at them but thinking ''I can't wait to post this topic on UTC''
